2026 Corvette ZR1X Quail Silver Limited Edition Unveiled

Chevrolet will launch the 2026 Corvette ZR1X as its most advanced and powerful Corvette to date, and the Quail Silver Limited Edition crowns the lineup with rare exclusivity. The American hypercar combines a 1,098 bhp LT7 twin-turbo 5.5-litre V8 with a 152 bhp front-axle electric motor to deliver a total 1,250 bhp and 828 lb-ft, surging from 0-60 mph in less than two seconds and reaching 233 mph on track. Engineers have paired the performance with limited production artistry that celebrates Corvette heritage while pushing design forward.

The Quail Silver Limited Edition appears only on the ZR1X 3LZ convertible and adopts Blade Silver Matte, the first factory matte paint on a Corvette in six decades. Designers drew inspiration from the Inca Silver finish offered on first-generation models from 1957 to 1959, updating the iconic hue with a contemporary satin texture that resists micro-marring. Every car carries a numbered “Limited Edition” plaque on its waterfall speaker, reinforcing collectability.

Chevrolet will unveil the car at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering in Carmel, California, on 15 August during Monterey Car Week. “Corvettes are the pride and joy of their owners – this has been true since we first began selling the nameplate more than 70 years ago. They honour its craftsmanship and design as much as its engineering excellence,” said Scott Bell, Vice-President of Global Chevrolet. “The ZR1X Quail Silver Limited Edition presents a highly exclusive option for Corvette customers looking for a collectable item.”

Inside, the Sky Cool and Medium Ash Grey cabin features Habanero accents, while orange brake callipers, carbon-flash door mirrors and black exhaust tips add contrast. Phil Zak, Executive Design Director of Global Chevrolet, remarked, “The Design team is always looking to innovate, and the Blade Silver Matte paint colour marks a significant moment for Corvette as the first factory matte paint in 60 years. This new finish creates a distinctly high-end feel and offers a rare chance to own a truly unique expression of Corvette."

Production of the ZR1X begins at GM’s Bowling Green plant in Kentucky before the end of 2025, with prices starting at £162,500 for the 1LZ coupé and £170,000 for the 1LZ convertible, including destination fees. The 3LZ coupé opens at £171,000 and the 3LZ convertible at £179,000, while the Quail Silver Limited Edition commands £189,000 and enters build slots next year. Buyers may specify the ZTK Performance Package, which fits stiffer springs, retuned chassis controls, a carbon-fibre aero kit and Michelin Pilot Cup 2 R tyres.

Against European rivals, the Corvette offers extraordinary value: the 1,250 bhp ZR1X undercuts the 1,184 bhp Ferrari F80’s £2.9 million price and the 1,258 bhp McLaren W1’s £1.6 million sticker, yet it matches or beats their acceleration and tops them on terminal speed. With its blend of electrified muscle, aerodynamic sophistication and heritage-infused craftsmanship, the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X Quail Silver Limited Edition positions itself as a landmark American hypercar ready to captivate enthusiasts worldwide.
