Alpine A390 Debuts at Dieppe 70th Anniversary Festival

From 30 May to 1 June, Jean Rédélé’s hometown of Dieppe became an Alpine festival. On the seafront lawn, the Alpine community, gathered through the IDÉA association, inspected the Dream Garage’s second creation, the Alpine A390.

BWT Alpine F1 Team driver Pierre Gasly and Alpine ambassador Zinedine Zidane had revealed the SUV only days earlier, and Alpine CEO Philippe Krief presented it in person during the anniversary weekend. The A390 then rolled onto Dieppe’s streets for its first parade before joining a 700-strong convoy of Alpine cars in a historic display.

Across three lively days, visitors explored the current Alpine A110 range, including the limited A110 R 70, the A110 GTS, and the ultimate A110 R Ultime. Crowds also watched the futuristic Alpenglow Hy6, which houses Alpine’s first six-cylinder hydrogen combustion engine, glide through the city centre.

Celebrating Alpine's 70th anniversary here in Dieppe, where it all began, gives this anniversary a special significance. This gathering showcases the passion for the Alpine region and the exceptional bond between its unique heritage and the future. The A390 is a fitting example of this: looking to the future and fuelled by 70 years of passion and audacity,” said Philippe Krief, Alpine CEO.

The new A-arrow emblem salutes 70 years, 1955–2025. Blue, white and red celebrate the French origins of the sports-car marque founded in Dieppe in 1955, while the elongated 70 shows a brand grounded in its past yet racing ahead. A red target at the wheel’s centre, another motoring icon, signals the challenges Alpine will tackle over the next seven decades.

Jean Rédélé established Alpine in 1955 and quickly set it apart with lightweight, French-style sports cars. In 2018, Alpine launched the reborn A110—a compact, agile, and focused vehicle purely on driving pleasure. Three years later, Alpine Cars, Renault Sport Cars, and Renault Sport Racing united under the Alpine banner, creating Groupe Renault’s hub for innovative, authentic, and exclusive sports cars that blend Dieppe craftsmanship with Formula One engineering expertise.
