ASCENSION-RR Rear Wing for 2024+ Tesla Model 3: Downforce
Unplugged Performance, the global leader in Tesla aftermarket performance engineering, has officially launched the ASCENSION-RR Rear Carbon Fibre Wing for the 2024+ Tesla Model 3. The team developed the ASCENSION-RR Rear Wing with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis and validated it on track. It delivers maximum usable rear downforce with excellent aerodynamic efficiency while preserving rear visibility and everyday road usability.
Unplugged Performance built the ASCENSION-RR Rear Wing as a genuine, track-focused aerodynamic upgrade, not a cosmetic add-on. The CFD programme focused on counteracting the rear lift generated by the Model 3 roofline at high speeds. This approach improves stability, balance, and consistency during aggressive driving and long track sessions.
At 150 mph, the Unplugged Performance ASCENSION-RR Rear Wing generates 2332 N (525 lbs / 238 kg) of rear downforce. It tackles rear lift directly and increases tyre loading where it matters most. Pair it with Unplugged Performance’s complete Model 3 Performance carbon fibre aero package, and the total aerodynamic load rises to 3155 N (710 lbs / 322 kg). That setup delivers a 46/54 front-to-rear aerodynamic balance, which suits a neutrally balanced chassis such as the Model 3 Performance.
Fit the full aerodynamic package, including the ASCENSION-RR Rear Wing, and the Model 3 achieves a coefficient of lift (CL) of only 0.48. That result puts it firmly in track-focused sports car territory. This outcome stands out because the stock vehicle produces a slight lift at speed. Drivers can also adjust the ASCENSION-RR Rear Wing to suit their needs. Set it to 0 degrees for efficiency and reduced drag on the road or at high speed, or choose 4 degrees to maximise downforce for track use.
The ASCENSION-RR Rear Wing fits all 2024+ Tesla Model 3 trims, including Performance, Long Range, and Rear Wheel Drive variants. Unplugged Performance prices the ASCENSION-RR Rear Wing at $2,495.00 and sells it as a complete kit. The kit includes the carbon fibre rear wing element, carbon fibre stands, and all required mounting hardware.
Unplugged Performance also offers an optional gurney flap for drivers who want additional performance tuning. The gurney flap installs easily with high-strength adhesive and improves wing effectiveness. It strengthens airflow attachment and boosts pressure recovery at the trailing edge, so drivers can refine rear grip without changing the primary wing configuration.
Unplugged Performance now ships initial production units of the ASCENSION-RR Rear Wing, and the company has opened preorders for the next allocations. The team has also confirmed development of a Model S-specific version of the ASCENSION-RR Rear Wing, which will allow Model S owners to benefit from the same aerodynamic principles and performance advantages in the near future.
