BMW M2 M Performance Track Kit Unleashed

BMW M Performance Parts set the benchmark for advanced technology, dynamic design and uncompromising quality. From July 2026, the BMW M2, the entry point to high-performance BMW M cars, will gain a new M Performance Track Kit designed specifically for track days. The BMW M2 CS (WLTP combined (EnVKV): fuel consumption: 10.0 l/100 km; CO2 emissions: 226 g/km, CO2 class: G)* stands as the exclusive special model in this segment, with sharper handling and distinctive design features. Drivers can now further elevate the look and sound of this model with the M Performance exhaust system.

Track days continue to attract drivers who want to refine their skills on a closed circuit and explore the full dynamic potential of their BMW M2. These events focus on driving precision, vehicle control and authentic performance. They also build a strong community of enthusiasts who share a passion for motorsport and BMW M engineering. The M Performance Track Kit for the BMW M2 pushes performance closer to professional racing standards. It sharpens handling and enhances race track capability while retaining road legality.

The M Performance Track Kit includes a manually adjustable front splitter for track use, integrated with the front diffuser as a single unit. Fixed wheel arch diffusers and a scoop beneath the upstream engine oil cooler complement this setup. The splitter and diffuser significantly increase downforce, while aero flicks deliver additional front-end grip. At the rear, a manually adjustable swan-neck wing, inspired by the BMW M4 GT4 and BMW M4 GT3 customer sport models, enhances aerodynamic performance. In “Race Mode”, the system shifts the rear wing 50 millimetres backwards to increase aerodynamic efficiency. In “Street Mode”, the retracted position complies with the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulation because it remains within legal vehicle dimensions. Drivers can also adjust the wing angle in two stages to optimise rear axle downforce for different circuits. An integrated brake light in the rear wing adds a distinctive visual detail.

The kit also features a threaded chassis with four-way adjustable rebound and compression damping, plus adjustable support bearings. It marks the first special motorsport damper system that remains road legal. Drivers can lower the chassis by up to 20 millimetres at both front and rear, with continuously variable height adjustment for precise setup.

BMW M specialists developed every component of the Track Kit using experience gained from countless races and victories. Engineers optimised all aerodynamic elements in the BMW wind tunnel. Jörg Weidinger, record driver and BMW M test engineer responsible for chassis development, led the overall fine-tuning. Each component works in harmony, especially when paired with optional ultra track tyres. This integration reflects the engineering expertise expected from BMW M.

BMW will offer the M Performance Track Kit starting in July 2026 for 23,500 euros plus tax in Germany. Prices exclude installation.

BMW now also offers the M Performance exhaust system for the new BMW M2 CS as a high-impact upgrade. The system optimises exhaust gas flow to intensify the distinctive sound of the 390 kW six-cylinder in-line engine with BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology. Drivers can select several modes to tailor the exhaust response, each delivering a focused and sporting engine note. The design reflects over five decades of BMW M motorsport expertise. Optional M Performance tailpipe trims in carbon and titanium highlight this racing pedigree and give the BMW M2 CS a sharp, unmistakable finish. Lightweight construction remains central to the concept. The M Performance exhaust system weighs around 8 kilograms less than the standard unit. In Germany, prices start from 8,343.50 euros excluding installation.
