BMW XM Label: Most Powerful M Model Refines Line-Up
BMW has refined the BMW XM portfolio, reducing the number of variants from three to two, allowing enthusiasts of luxury performance SUVs to choose with confidence. The flagship BMW XM Label now stands alone with its electrified V8 engine, while the efficient BMW XM 50e keeps its electrified six-cylinder powertrain. Together, these M HYBRID models deliver electric ranges of up to 86 km and combine zero-emission city driving with unmistakable BMW M character.
Engineers paired a 430 kW/585 hp V8 with a 145 kW/197 hp electric motor inside the eight-speed M Steptronic transmission, generating 575 kW/778 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. The BMW XM Label sprints from 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and reaches 250 km/h, or 290 km/h with the optional M Driver’s Package, making it the most powerful BMW M production car yet.
Its extroverted design shows why BMW M still embodies “The Ultimate Driving Machine”. British techno icon Carl Cox echoes that spirit, blending the BMW XM’s V8 bass, Welcome chime and bonnet-closing pop into an “aural celebration”, underscoring his passion for BMW M automobiles.
BMW now lets owners express this confidence even further. Optional BMW Individual Frozen Tanzanite Blue metallic paint, a high-gloss Black M-kidney-grille accent line and a new Welcome Light Animation elevate kerb appeal after dark. Standard 22-inch Double-spoke 922 M Bicolour alloys replace the previous 21-inch wheels, while 23-inch 1096 M Black wheels cap the options list.
Inside, BMW Individual Night Blue Merino leather is paired with Black, as well as Vintage Coffee Brown and Silverstone with Black combinations. Plush, colour-matched comfort cushions are now standard, and the Combined Charging Unit increases AC charging to 11 kW, reducing plug-in times.
BMW will unveil the upgraded BMW XM Label on June 14, 2025, at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where BMW M Motorsport will campaign the BMW M Hybrid V8 in the FIA World Endurance Championship, linking electrified racing technology directly to road-going performance.
