Bugatti Brouillard Debuts at the Quail by Programme Solitaire
Programme Solitaire unveils the Brouillard at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, bringing a new expression of Bugatti craftsmanship to the lawns of Quail Lodge in Carmel Valley beneath the Santa Lucia Range. Esteemed collectors and enthusiasts gather for an experience unlike any other, where rare automobiles and coachbuilt artistry meet in a setting that celebrates the highest levels of personalisation.
The one-of-one Brouillard makes its first global appearance today. Viewers recognise its lineage at once, a pure celebration of the coachbuilder’s art and of Bugatti’s tradition of creating unique, hand-crafted automobiles over 116 years.
Every detail, from the majestic silhouette to the exquisitely curated cockpit, pays tribute to one of Ettore Bugatti’s dearest passions, equestrianism. Ettore lovingly owned a white and grey thoroughbred named Brouillard, a horse that embodied speed, beauty and refined elegance, qualities that defined the cars leaving the grounds of the Château Saint Jean.
Programme Solitaire channels intimate stories like these into creative direction and takes customisation beyond the already highly bespoke Sur Mesure commissions. The programme draws on early twentieth-century coachbuilding, whose spirit shaped Bugatti icons on the original Type 57 chassis, including Galibier, Stelvio, Ventoux and Atalante.
The Brouillard unites two decades of continuously perfected Bugatti technology with a fresh design concept. At its core sits the marque’s inimitable W16, a 1,600 PS quad-turbocharged engine. An all-new coupé profile complements this engineering pedigree, with an exterior optimised for a precise balance of form and function. Elegantly sculpted air intakes, a sweeping roofline and a bespoke ducktail rear wing guide airflow and define its presence.
Inside the hypercar, artistry takes centre stage. A hand-crafted sculpture of Brouillard forms the gear selector, while embroidered horse motifs enrich the door panels and rear seats. Custom-crafted tartan fabrics sourced in Paris weave character and tactility through the cabin. In harmony with the spirit of the City of Light, a rich green-tinted carbon weave pairs with the bright sheen of aluminium detailing, and a crystal-clear glass roof brings an uplifting sense of space and cathedral-like grandeur.
In every facet, the Brouillard evokes automotive haute couture at the highest level, expressing the power of exceptional creativity and respect for a timeless discipline. The Brouillard makes its global physical debut at The Quail today, Friday 14 August, before moving to an exclusive showcase at the private Le Domaine Bugatti on Saturday and Sunday.
