Geely and Afari Launch G-ASD Smart Driving at CES 2026
At the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show, Afari and Geely jointly announced the global launch of G-ASD (Geely Afari Smart Driving), a new intelligent driving system. G-ASD delivers a highly integrated, model-driven solution that accelerates the shift towards higher levels of autonomous driving.
The foundation model now drives the autonomous driving industry. Afari proposed "model penetration" as a key metric for intelligent driving systems, measuring both the breadth and depth of AI model adoption across the system. G-ASD uses an end-to-end model architecture and combines advanced AI paradigms, including multimodal foundation models, Visual-Language Models (VLM), Vision-Language-Action models (VLA), world models, and reinforcement learning. These technologies help G-ASD deliver a safer, smoother, and more AI-native driving experience for users.
The launch of G-ASD marks Afari’s official market entry for intelligent driving solutions. The system already runs across 16 vehicle models under the Zeekr and Lynk & Co brands, and it has equipped more than 300,000 vehicles to date.
