Mclaren 750S Le Mans Marks 30th Anniversary of F1 GTR Victory

McLaren Automotive celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of its triumphant Le Mans debut and confirms a 2027 return to the event’s top class by unveiling the 750S Le Mans, a limited-run supercar of just fifty examples.

On 18 June 1995, the McLaren F1 GTR #59, driven by JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalma, and Masanori Sekiya, won the 24-hour race, with three further F1 GTRs finishing inside the top five. Days before the thirtieth anniversary, two 750S-based GT3 EVO racers will chase LMGT3 honours, reinforcing the brand’s endurance pedigree.

The 750S Le Mans mirrors the iconic #59 with Le Mans Grey paint—customers may instead specify the signature McLaren Orange, plus a roof scoop and five-spoke LM wheels. McLaren Special Operations adds its new High Downforce Kit, which lifts the carbon-fibre active rear spoiler, integrates endplates and teams with an enlarged front splitter and rear wing to raise downforce by ten per cent, evoking the legendary F1 LM’s aero stance. A body-coloured under-wing panel with gloss-black louvres completes the visual drama.

Owners choose between Carbon Black interiors accented by Dove Grey or McLaren Orange Alcantara. Le Mans branding is featured on headrests, floor mats, and a bespoke plaque. Meanwhile, F1 Gold brake callipers with red McLaren logos, gloss-black carbon-fibre accents, natural titanium exhaust finishers, and painted Le Mans graphics further enhance exclusivity.

An option pack extends gloss visual carbon fibre to the hood air intakes, mirrors, side and rear intakes, roof scoop and raised spoiler, with an available track brake upgrade. Buyers may fit a front-bay plaque that records the 1995 victory and McLaren’s unique Triple Crown* achievements.

The mid-mounted 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 delivers 750 PS, while the carbon-fibre Monocage II core and Proactive Chassis Control III suspension ensure the 750S remains the lightest and most agile car in its class; the HDK now enhances its track potency.

“The 750S Le Mans marks not just 30 years since our debut victory in the iconic race, but an exciting time for the brand with McLaren GT3 EVO cars competing in this year’s race and the announcement of our return to the top, Hypercar class in 2027. This exclusive 750S is the first McLaren Le Mans edition since the F1 LM to feature HDK aerodynamic enhancements and is set to become one of our most sought-after supercars, with previous Le Mans editions of the 650S and 720S commanding a premium over standard models,” said Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer, Chief Commercial Officer, McLaren Automotive.
