2026 GMC HUMMER EV King Crab Supertruck Leads Electric Off-Road

The 2026 GMC HUMMER EV supertruck redefines electric off-roading by pairing zero-emission power with fresh software intelligence. King Crab rear-steer mode now turns the rear wheels more sharply than the fronts, so drivers weave through rocky passes or tight forest tracks with unprecedented manoeuvrability. GMC will roll this feature out over the air to every 2022–2025 HUMMER EV, honouring the original “Mystery Mode” promise and proving the brand’s commitment to continual improvement.

Al Oppenheiser, GMC HUMMER EV chief engineer, said, “The refreshed HUMMER EV enhances an already amazing vehicle with new software innovations and forward-thinking design… allowing new features to be introduced throughout the vehicle's lifecycle.” His team pairs cutting-edge code with robust hardware to keep the electric pickup truck evolving long after delivery.

Limited-run Carbon Fibre Edition models showcase the pinnacle of that evolution. A 24-module battery and refined propulsion calibration launch the pickup from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds, making it the quickest HUMMER EV yet. Each example wears a Magnus Grey Matte finish, Velocity Ember cabin accents, 22-inch carbon-fibre black wheels, all-terrain tyres, carbon-fibre mirror and skid-plate inserts, a black approach shield, and black emblems; the SUV adds a matching spare wheel.

Practicality matches performance. When correctly equipped, bidirectional charging lets owners share energy with another compatible EV or power a home during a blackout. Enhanced Super Cruise, now integrated with Google Maps, guides the vehicle into the correct lane and automatically resumes hands-free driving on mapped motorways; adaptive cruise control adjusts to posted speed limits.

The 3X Pickup delivers 1,160 horsepower and 13,000 lb-ft of torque, while optimised damper tuning smooths every mile. A 13.4-inch infotainment centre offers split-screen customisation, Google Built-In entertainment for charging stops, and OnStar connectivity for intelligent EV routing and voice assistance.

Fresh Coastal Dune and Auburn Matte paint and Granite Drift and Stealth Eclipse interiors broaden personalisation, reinforcing the HUMMER EV’s blend of bold style, everyday utility, and premium comfort.

Factory ZERO in Detroit–Hamtramck will start building the 2026 HUMMER EV Pickup and SUV alongside the Sierra EV later this year. US buyers can expect the new supertruck at GMC EV dealers before year-end, with pricing and range to follow at launch.
