Audi Nuvolari: Hybrid Supercar Debuts in London Before Goodwood
Audi has unveiled the Nuvolari, its first high-performance hybrid supercar, in London ahead of a public display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this week. The Nuvolari delivers 1,001 PS and reaches a top speed exceeding 217 mph (350 km/h), making it the most powerful and fastest production car in the history of the four rings. Audi combines technical excellence and craftsmanship with a new design language in the Nuvolari, where every decision serves a clear purpose, and nothing is purely decorative.

Chief Creative Officer Massimo Frascella leads Audi's new design philosophy, and the Nuvolari becomes the first production car to bring it to the road. Taut surfaces and precise lines define the car's exterior, and every decision serves a purpose without decoration. This same approach shapes the interior, which focuses entirely on driving.
London, a global hub for design, culture and innovation, provides a fitting backdrop for the Nuvolari's UK debut. The car's bold, monolithic form stands out against the architectural diversity of the City and the high-end streets of Mayfair and Kensington, reinforcing the connection between progressive automotive design and the capital's creative excellence.
The Nuvolari marks Audi's first entry into the high-performance hybrid supercar segment. With this model, Audi makes a deliberate move into the high-performance segment and stakes its claim as the most desirable premium automotive brand. Audi has built the car around an innovative new Audi Space Frame with a carbon-fibre exterior, and pairs a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with three axial-flux electric motors to produce a total system output of 1,001PS. The Nuvolari accelerates from 0- 62 mph in 2.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 217mph.
Quattro predictive ride brings the next generation of quattro drive, one of Audi's defining innovations, to the Nuvolari. The system continuously evaluates detailed sensor data and extends the limits of vehicle dynamics through anticipatory, system-wide control. A Formula 1 mindset shaped both the development and engineering of the Nuvolari. Audi has drawn carbon fibre components, lightweight design and active aerodynamics with a Drag Reduction System (DRS) directly from motorsport. The high-end Audi ceramic pro braking system uses long-fibre construction for extreme heat resistance and brings Formula 1-inspired technology into a production vehicle.
Audi named its high-performance hybrid supercar after Tazio Nuvolari, one of the most prominent figures in motorsport history. People still remember the Italian racer today for his fearlessness, ingenuity and single-minded will to succeed.
