MANSORY Art Piece AL3C MONO907Y: Bespoke G-Class Convertible
MANSORY transforms the recently unveiled “MANSORY Speranza” into the “MANSORY – Art Piece – AL3C MONO907Y”, an open-top derivative of the current Mercedes G-Class W465 that adds a short-wheelbase, four-door convertible body to the luxury off-roader range. Limited to just ten cars, the project adheres to the marque’s “One of One” philosophy, ensuring each buyer receives a unique vehicle distinguished by its hand-finished details.
To achieve that exclusivity, MANSORY partners with New-York pop artist Alec Monopoly, who paints every exterior panel in his signature style featuring characters such as “Mr. Monopoly”. After several days of work, technicians seal the artwork under a specialised clear coat that guards against UV rays and the elements, locking in colour and gloss for years of road use.
Engineers reinforce the chassis and sills to compensate for the removal of the roof, ensuring the convertible retains its full off-road prowess and torsional rigidity. The shortened wheelbase eliminates the third side window, allowing the compact rear doors to meet the fabric roof cleanly. At the touch of a button, the lined soft top opens or closes electrically, making the car ready for Alpine winters or Riviera summers.
MANSORY fits forged “FC.5” 24-inch wheels wrapped in 295/30 R24 tyres, while painted accents on the rims and brake callipers echo the car’s bespoke colour palette. Under the bonnet, enlarged turbochargers, a freer-flowing exhaust with redesigned downpipes and recalibrated electronics push the 4.0-litre V8 to 820 hp and 1,150 Nm. The AL3C MONO907Y sprints from 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and, for safety, its top speed remains capped at 250 km/h.
Inside, clients choose every element, from leather hue and quilting pattern to the weave of carbon-fibre inserts. Alec Monopoly adds custom interior panels, while artisans stitch seatbelts, floor mats, and a flat-bottomed sports steering wheel with discreet MANSORY branding. Carbon pedals, illuminated door handles and other hand-finished touches complete an environment that mirrors the exterior’s expression.
The AL3C MONO907Y emits 360 g/km of CO₂ and achieves a combined fuel consumption of 15.1 l/100 km, parameters that underscore its supercar performance credentials. Further details on this limited-edition G-Class convertible and MANSORY’s wider refinement programme appear at www.mansory.com.
