Marc Philipp Gemballa Unveils the MARSIEN GT Supercar
Following the success of the MARSIEN series, which the company now delivers to owners in more than 16 countries worldwide, Marc Philipp Gemballa GmbH (not associated in any form with Gemballa GmbH) proudly announces the MARSIEN GT, the next chapter in the MARSIEN story and the second vehicle to join the company's growing portfolio of bespoke collector automobiles.
The original MARSIEN, which the brand introduced at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in 2021, created its own category of all-terrain capable production sports cars. The MARSIEN GT builds on that legacy as the road-focused evolution of the MARSIEN programme, and it fulfils the entrepreneurs' vision of creating modern yet timeless holistic masterpieces produced in limited series. The company limits the MARSIEN GT to just 30 bespoke commissioned examples, which raises total production across the MARSIEN programme to only 70 vehicles worldwide, a fitting tribute to the 70th anniversary of automotive visionary Uwe Gemballa, the entrepreneur's father. The brand will unveil the MARSIEN GT at its world premiere and North American debut on the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance awards ramp on Thursday 13th August 2026 at 3 pm PDT.
While the MARSIEN drew inspiration from the legendary Paris-Dakar rally era and combined a modern-day supercar with off-road capability to deliver the ultimate driving experience on and off road, the MARSIEN GT translates that same iconic design language into its most road-focused evolution yet. The team developed it on the fully homologated MARSIEN platform. It transformed its distinctive character into a pure grand-touring concept built for enhanced road performance, dynamic precision driving, and everyday usability. Where the original MARSIEN transcended the boundary between on-road and off-road driving, the MARSIEN GT concentrates its abilities firmly on the road ahead, marking the next step in the MARSIEN story.
Each MARSIEN GT begins life as a Porsche 992 Turbo S before undergoing a comprehensive transformation involving roughly 1,500 individually engineered and manufactured components across the MARSIEN platform. The team reimagines everything from the carbon fibre exterior, bespoke double-wishbone suspension, titanium exhaust system, door handles, taillights and wiring loom to the aerodynamic architecture, chassis systems and interior craftsmanship. Several thousand hours of engineering and design go into creating this entirely new collector automobile.
The MARSIEN GT features a completely new full carbon fibre exterior made up of more than 100 individual carbon fibre components, including air channels, wing mirrors, wheel arch liners and a rear panel that stretches from the A-pillar all the way to the rear wing. The designers reworked every exterior panel exclusively for the MARSIEN GT to improve lightweighting, cooling, and aerodynamic performance, introducing new features such as active front fender louvres, an active rear wing, a roof scoop, ram-air intakes, side-skirt intakes, and a full carbon-fibre underbody. Together, these changes cut 75 kilograms from the standard Porsche 992 Turbo S. A central fuel intake system further improves aerodynamic performance and weight distribution. Leading German carbon fibre specialists, who also supply major OEMs, sports car manufacturers and several Formula One teams, manufacture each panel. Designer and Porsche aficionado Alan Derosier, who shaped the ultra-modern yet timeless look of the original MARSIEN, also led the design concept for the MARSIEN GT.
The MARSIEN GT relies on a completely new active aero system with active front fender louvres and a raised, angled active rear wing, alongside larger front-end air intakes, a roof scoop with ram-air intakes, side-skirt air intakes, and a complete carbon-fibre underbody. A pneumatic air pressure system powers the active aero elements, enabling instant actuation of both the louvres and the rear wing. The active front fender louvres release high-pressure air from the wheel housings to reduce front-axle lift and wheel-arch turbulence. In contrast, the distinctive active rear wing, set at an increased angle of attack, boosts rear-axle downforce and stability at higher speeds and doubles as an air brake when needed. The roof scoop draws undisturbed airflow from above the cabin and channels it straight to the intercoolers; separate ram-air intakes feed the engine's intake path, and the aero-adjusted side-skirt intakes direct fresh air to the rear wheel arches for extra brake cooling. The MARSIEN GT replaces the solid aluminium underfloor with a complete lightweight carbon fibre underbody, saving weight and optimising airflow to the diffuser.
Although the original MARSIEN was engineered for all-terrain capability, the team developed the MARSIEN GT's suspension to deliver a more focused, dynamic on-road driving experience. Working once again with suspension specialist KW Automotive, the brand created an entirely new double-wishbone suspension setup specifically for the MARSIEN GT, paired with a bespoke road-focused damper system based on KW's latest DDC V5 technology. The electronically controlled dampers continuously adjust their compression and rebound forces in real time, and two proportional electromagnetic valves within each damper regulate both forces independently, allowing the system to respond to changing road conditions within just 20 milliseconds. This setup delivers precise control and immediate response while preserving the ride comfort you'd expect from a grand tourer. For everyday usability, the system also includes a front-axle nose lift that raises the front of the car by 60mm, or roughly 2.36 inches, to clear driveways, ramps and speed bumps. In comparison, the standard configuration maintains a road-focused ride height of 100mm, or approximately 3.94 inches. Drivers can also select from several driving modes via the steering wheel-mounted mode selector, which automatically adjusts the damper settings, transmission settings, and engine mapping accordingly. For optimal driving conditions, the MARSIEN GT rides on specially designed six-spoke forged aluminium wheels with a centre-locking system and Michelin Ultra High-Performance Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres.
A truly bespoke vehicle demands a unique powertrain of the highest quality, so Marc Philipp Gemballa continues its partnership with legendary Porsche engine specialist RUF Automobile for the MARSIEN GT's engine development. RUF Automobile, registered as a manufacturer since 1981, brings deep Porsche engine expertise and previously worked with Marc's father, Uwe Gemballa, to produce powertrains for various vehicles in the 1980s. The RUF-developed engine upgrade enables the six-cylinder boxer engine to produce more than 830 horsepower and 930 Newton metres of torque, thanks to enhanced VTG turbochargers, revised ECU mapping and an updated transmission setting. For clients who want even more power, the brand is currently developing a second-stage engine upgrade producing more than 900 horsepower.
A newly developed full titanium quad exhaust system from leading performance exhaust manufacturer Akrapovič gives the MARSIEN GT a distinctive visual and acoustic signature. Its layout reinforces the car's bolder rear design while complementing the character of the RUF-upgraded powertrain.
To mark Uwe Gemballa's 70th anniversary, the brand has created a special one-off four-layer champagne gold metallic exterior colour exclusively for the MARSIEN GT's launch. Named Anniversary Liquid Champagne Gold, it incorporates pearlescent metallic flakes that subtly echo the original pearl white launch colour of the MARSIEN. A state-of-the-art, certified paint studio capable of fulfilling even the most daring customer colour requests applies the finish.
The MARSIEN GT's interior echoes the elegance of the exterior and includes several bespoke design elements. The team raised the centre console and equipped it with an aluminium gear stick inspired by the legendary Carrera GT, delivering a sportier, more analogue driving experience. Clients can also specify a gear knob in exposed carbon fibre or mahogany instead of leather or Alcantara. The interior strikes a fine balance between form and function, with tasteful hand stitching on the logo and paddles for manual gear changes, along with matching stitching on the floor mats, headrests and armrest. As part of the special options programme, clients can choose the carbon fibre interior package for further exposed carbon fibre elements throughout the cabin, and they can add a club sport roll bar behind the seats, finished in a colour of their choice or in leather, Alcantara or exposed carbon fibre. A metal badge displaying the car's individual production number, part of the limited run of just 30 pieces, sits embedded in the centre console for a special finishing touch. The launch vehicle's interior is finished in dark grey Alcantara, with carbon fibre bucket seats and champagne-coloured accents on the stitching, seat belts, and instrument dials, matching the Anniversary Liquid Champagne Gold exterior paint. Matte carbon fibre accents and an Alcantara-covered roll bar complete the cabin, while all badges and model designations appear in black on the launch specification.
Limited to just 30 bespoke examples for the world's most discerning collectors, the MARSIEN GT will be even rarer than its predecessor, with first deliveries planned for the end of 2027. This limited run raises total production across the MARSIEN programme to only 70 vehicles worldwide, honouring the 70th anniversary of legendary automotive visionary Uwe Gemballa, whose pioneering spirit and passion for pushing boundaries continues to inspire the next generation.
The brand will unveil the MARSIEN GT for its world premiere and North American debut on the 18th Lawn at Pebble Beach during Monterey Car Week. Following the debut, the MARSIEN GT will appear at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, and on the Concept Lawn of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, where organisers have selected it for display among the world's most significant automotive debuts. Throughout Monterey Car Week, which runs from 13th to 16th August in Carmel, California, enthusiasts, collectors and car aficionados will get the chance to discover the MARSIEN GT, the latest creation from Marc Philipp Gemballa, and experience the next chapter of the MARSIEN story.
The MARSIEN GT is based on the Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S (992 series) and uses a RUF-upgraded twin-turbocharged flat-six engine with all-wheel drive, producing 830 horsepower (with an optional 900-plus-horsepower upgrade) and 930 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100km/h (0 to 60mph) in 2.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 330km/h (205mph). The bespoke Akrapovič titanium quad exhaust system pairs with a custom double-wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension, along with a bespoke KW on-road performance DDC damper system featuring front axle lift. Ground clearance sits at 100mm (3.94 inches), with an additional 60mm (2.36 inches) available via the front axle nose lift. The car rolls on 20- and 21-inch forged aluminium lightweight six-spoke wheels with a centre-locking system, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres (275/35 ZR20 front, 335/30 ZR21 rear). The full carbon fibre exterior includes active aero elements such as the roof scoop, louvres and rear wing, complemented by a full carbon fibre underfloor. The full Alcantara interior features a raised Carrera GT-style centre console with carbon accents. Marc Philipp Gemballa will build just 30 examples, priced at €770,000 net of all taxes, duties and shipping and excluding the base vehicle, with production starting in 2027.
