Polestar Defends Mille Miglia Green Crown with Full EV Line-Up
Polestar returns to Italy’s iconic Mille Miglia Green road race from 17–21 June, determined to defend last year’s title with its complete electric lineup. The legendary 1,000-mile journey through the country’s heartland also premieres Collezione Mille, a celebration of heritage, design and endurance that reinforces Polestar’s commitment to sustainable performance.
On the starting line stand the long-range versions of the Polestar 2, Polestar 3, and Polestar 4. Each electric car combines dual-motor sporting genes with high-capacity batteries that deliver more than 600 kilometres between charges. Polestar’s chassis engineers co-developed Michelin E Primacy and Pilot Sport EV tyres specifically for these models, ensuring precise handling and optimal range throughout the demanding Italian route.
Chief Executive Michael Lohscheller affirms: “Polestar cars offer great performance, not only with rapid acceleration, but also with outstanding range. We are winning many comparison tests already, but to bring our lineup to the historical Mille Miglia Green race in Italy is an ultimate endurance test that brings classic car culture to the future.”
Collezione Mille racing liveries reinterpret the storied past of the Mille Miglia with a contemporary edge, evolving the visual language introduced by Polestar’s Arctic Circle collection at Austria’s FAT Ice Race. A two-tone paint scheme and dipped front end revive a traditional method of distinguishing drivers, while the yellow split motif from the Arctic Circle gains fresh prominence.
Before the flag drops, a muted white circle sits where racing numbers once dominated; once the Mille Miglia Green begins, this element proudly carries official entry numbers. Bold 2, 3 and 4 decals rendered in the colours of the Italian flag honour the host nation and emphasise Polestar’s trio of long-range electric performance cars poised to conquer Italy’s most celebrated endurance road race.
