Range Rover Sport SV Black: Stealth Luxury Performance SUV
Range Rover today unveiled the Range Rover Sport SV Black, a stealthy evolution of its acclaimed luxury performance SUV.
The new derivative showcases an all-black aesthetic that amplifies the model’s muscular stance and prepares it for its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from July 10 to 13, 2025. Clients will be able to place orders from late 2025. Designers coated every exterior element in lustrous Narvik Black, including, for the first time, the SV roundel and Range Rover badges on the grille. This uniform finish projects a bold, defiant character, positioning the Range Rover Sport SV Black as the most visually dramatic interpretation of stealth luxury the brand has created.
Martin Limpert, Global Managing Director, Range Rover, said: “Range Rover Sport SV Black represents the essence of sporting luxury; a statement of audacious rebellion. We’ve created a vehicle that combines pure power and performance with a gritty, uncompromising attitude that demands attention. Range Rover’s design team has gone beyond anything we’ve offered previously with black packs or options, giving every single exterior and interior element a sophisticated Narvik black treatment; it appears to the eye as if the vehicle has been dipped in gloss. We extend this attention to detail to new finishes for the first time on Range Rover, truly showcasing our craftsmanship.”
The Narvik Black bodywork sits beneath a black-painted carbon-fibre bonnet and above Gloss Black forged 23-inch alloy wheels, Gloss Black brake callipers and quad exhausts. A black ceramic SV roundel on the tailgate seals the monochrome identity. Inside, sculpted performance seats dressed in tactile Ebony Windsor leather match the dark theme, and illuminated SV Black treadplates greet occupants. Gloss Grand Black veneers and technical finishers complete the cabin’s refined yet purposeful ambience.
Range Rover Sport SV Black is equipped with a 467 kW, 750 Nm 4.4-litre twin-turbo mild-hybrid V8 petrol engine, enabling a 0–60 mph time of 3.6 seconds and a maximum speed of 180 mph. The advanced 6D Dynamics suspension and Body and Soul Seats system maintain ride composure and occupant wellbeing. In addition, Range Rover will introduce a specially tuned Range Rover Sport SV globally, pairing the same 467 kW twin-turbo V8 and revolutionary 6D Dynamics technology for a top speed of 266 km/h.
