Trick Rides Shelby GT350TR Muscle Car Restoration Build
Trick Rides, a premier muscle car restoration company, has reimagined one of the most iconic Shelby models ever produced. Trick Rides built the Shelby GT350TR with a lifelong admiration for Carroll Shelby and deep respect for the brand. The GT350TR blends classic Shelby heritage with modern engineering to create a track-focused performance car that honours the spirit of the original GT350.
The Shelby GT350TR drivetrain delivers exceptional performance and keeps the raw, driver-focused feel that defines the Shelby name. A supercharged 700-horsepower Coyote V8 sits at its core, sending power through a TREMEC T-56 six-speed manual gearbox. Spent gases exit through a custom exhaust system that uses Ultimate Headers and MagnaFlow mufflers. Buyers can also choose an optional naturally aspirated 427 cubic-inch stroker engine for a different sower delivery. style
Trick Rides builds this reimagined Shelby on a Roaster Shop chassis, creating a modern foundation that improves ride quality and overall performance. An independent front suspension, paired with Fox coilover shocks, supports precise tuning and sharper handling across varied driving conditions. A parallel four-bar rear suspension pairs with a 9-inch rear axle upgrade, and Roaster Shop oversized anti-roll bars at both ends deliver dynamic handling and stability. The GT350TR rides on lightweight three-piece Forgeline wheels wrapped in Continental Z-rated tyres for firm grip and confident road holding. Baer Brakes supplies six-piston front and four-piston rear callipers to deliver stopping power that matches the car’s performance.
Trick Rides builds the Shelby GT350TR entirely in its 31,000-square-foot shop in Yukon, Oklahoma, and applies a no-compromise approach to muscle car restoration throughout. The car keeps steel body panels and adds modern upgrades that fit the design. Flush-mounted front and rear glass, Trick Rides' custom LED taillights, and Ringbrothers' handles, hinges and mirrors bring a cleaner, updated finish.
“I have admired Carroll Shelby and the Shelby brand my entire life, and that deep respect shaped every part of this build,” said the founder of Trick Rides, Jason Engel. “From the upgraded engine to the drivetrain and braking systems, the GT350TR blends classic Shelby styling with modern engineering. It is a car built to be driven hard but still feels unmistakably like a GT350 from the moment you see it and get behind the wheel.”
The Shelby GT350TR is available with custom paint schemes and starts at $339,000.
