BRABUS ROCKET GTC DEEP RED: Hyper GT Convertible Debut

BRABUS unveils the ROCKET GTC DEEP RED, its new Hyper Gran Turismo Convertible, at Pebble Beach during Monterey Car Week 2025. The open-top 2+2 pairs a high-end, coachbuilt body in red exposed-structure carbon with BRABUS Monoblock P “PLATINUM EDITION” wheels. The all-wheel hybrid powertrain delivers 735 kW, 1,000 hp and 1,820 Nm of system torque, launching the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 9.5 seconds, and 0 to 300 km/h in 23.6 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 317 km/h (197 mph). BRABUS presents this open-air supercar on the California Pacific coast to mark the 74th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

The carbon-intensive bodywork sets the tone. BRABUS manufactures every visible panel from carbon fibre using the prepreg autoclave process, then finishes each piece in transparent red to reveal the exposed structure. Development in the wind tunnel informs the aggressive aero package, which generates meaningful downforce at both axles and guides cooling air to the radiators, brakes and hybrid components. The ROCKET front splitter integrates neatly with the broad front wings and feeds the intakes, while sculpted side sills channel airflow towards the rear side panels that define the imposing 198.5-centimetre width at the back.

Purpose-built rolling stock underlines the wedge shape. Forged Monoblock P “PLATINUM EDITION” five-spoke wheels use a centre-lock design and integrated exposed-structure carbon aeroblades finished in red. The front axle carries 10.5Jx21 wheels with 275/35 ZR 21 Continental SportContact 7 high-performance tyres. The rear fills Kevlar-lined arches with 12Jx22 wheels and 335/25 ZR 22 tyres. At the tail, a full-width ducktail spoiler works with a precisely aligned rear fascia and an integrated diffuser that frames four titanium tailpipes from the BRABUS stainless-steel high-performance exhaust, illuminated in red and clad in red exposed-structure carbon. The aero package, optimised in the wind tunnel, contributes to high-speed stability together with the front splitter.

The hybrid drivetrain blends a BRABUS ROCKET 1000 4.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 with a 150 kW, 204 hp permanently excited synchronous motor on the rear axle. A nine-speed sport transmission shifts automatically or via paddle shifters, and an electronically controlled all-wheel-drive system apportions power for traction and response. The system produces 735 kW, 1,000 hp and 1,820 Nm, with torque electronically limited to 1,620 Nm to protect drivetrain components. On its own, the combustion engine delivers 585 kW, 796 hp and up to 1,250 Nm, limited to 1,050 Nm in the vehicle. The electric side uses a 6.1 kWh lithium-ion battery and a bespoke two-speed automatic transmission. BRABUS fills the engine and drivetrain with high-tech lubricants from technology partner MOTUL.

BRABUS engineers harmonised combustion and electric systems through extensive testing on engine and all-wheel dynamometers at the Technology Centre in Bottrop, followed by road trials on public streets and multiple racetracks. The result combines headline performance with full compliance with the EURO 6d-ISC-FCM emissions standard required for EU type approval. The stainless-steel exhaust system features high-performance catalytic converters and particulate filters plus active valve control, so the driver can select a discreet “Coming Home” mode or unleash the V8 soundtrack.

With the roof open, the ROCKET GTC DEEP RED reveals an exclusive BRABUS Masterpiece interior that mirrors the exterior theme. The cockpit is upholstered entirely in fine leather finished in a perfectly matched shade of red. Precision quilting in the BRABUS “Shell” design appears on the seat centres, armrests, side panels, footwell trim and leather floor mats. Multiple embossed versions of the “Double-B” emblem enrich the seat surfaces. BRABUS Signature Carbon elements provide a sporting counterpoint, appearing on the pedal pads, sections of the steering-wheel rim and the entry panels with an illuminated BRABUS logo. Switchgear, air vents, speaker grilles and bezels adopt a matte BRABUS “Shadow Grey” finish, while ROCKET GTC logos on the passenger-side dashboard, side panels and front seat belts add distinctive accents.

BRABUS builds the ROCKET GTC DEEP RED to customer order. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the vehicle shown is 697,800 euros, quoted as an export price in Germany, excluding 19 per cent VAT.

The debut channels the excitement that the Mercedes 300 SL Roadster created across the American market in the 1950s and translates it into a modern Hyper Gran Turismo cabriolet. The design evolves the 1-Second-Wow language and the high-performance brief of the BRABUS ROCKET GTS Shooting Brake into a striking open-top form. Decades of craftsmanship guarantee smooth surfaces and immaculate panel gaps, alongside optimised cooling and aero efficiency. The aeroblades for the Monoblock P wheels even help extract brake heat from the wheel wells while driving.

BRABUS belongs to the Aura Blockchain Consortium, founded by leading luxury groups including LVMH, the Prada Group, Cartier and the OTB Group. From model year 2025, every BRABUS supercar is registered in the Aura Private Blockchain. The digital product passport confirms ownership and combats counterfeiting.
