Bespoke Ferrari Daytona SP3 Heads to Monterey Auction

Ferrari today unveils an exclusive Ferrari Daytona SP3 Tailor Made, which RM Sotheby’s will auction during Monterey Car Week in California in August 2025, blending innovation, luxury, and unrivalled racing pedigree. Crafted through Ferrari’s Tailor Made programme, the bespoke supercar showcases a two-tone carbon-fibre exterior: vibrant Giallo Modena panels sit above glossy black splitters, sills and rear diffuser. For the first time, the full “Ferrari” logotype spans the upper body in matching Giallo Modena, ensuring instant recognition at the Monterey Car Week auction.

Inside, artisans have upholstered the cockpit in pioneering fabric woven from recycled tyres, adorned with a distinctive Prancing Horse motif. Ferrari has equipped the dashboard and steering column with the same lightweight carbon fibre used in Formula 1, reinforcing the direct link to the marque’s competitive roots.

Numbered 599+1 to highlight its position beyond the limited-edition production run, the car features a dedicated plaque that validates its unique status. Every pound raised by this RM Sotheby’s Ferrari auction will fund global educational initiatives managed by The Ferrari Foundation, a recognised 501(c)(3) charity. Recent efforts include rebuilding the Aveson Charter School in Altadena, California, after the Eaton Wildfire, achieved through a partnership with Save the Children.

As the second member of the limited-edition Ferrari Icona series, the Daytona SP3 honours the mid-rear-engined V12 sports prototypes that forged Ferrari’s motorsport legend. Its 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 delivers 840 cv, launching the car from 0–100 km/h in 2.85 seconds and 0–200 km/h in 7.4 seconds, confirming its status as a true icon of performance and design.

Ferrari introduced the Icona series in 2018 with the Monza SP1 and SP2, inspired by 1950s competition barchettas that secured a string of historic victories. Each Icona model captures the essence of its era and reimagines it with advanced materials and technology, creating contemporary legends destined to inspire future generations. Reserved for Ferrari’s most dedicated clients and collectors, these limited-edition Ferraris celebrate enduring heritage while pushing engineering boundaries.
