Aston Martin Valhalla Makes Thrilling Dynamic Monaco Debut
Yesterday, the Aston Martin Valhalla delivered its first public dynamic performance on Monaco’s famous street circuit ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix. Two-time Formula One World Champion Fernando Alonso, driving for the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, steered the British hybrid supercar after it completed final validation on road and track.
The limited-run, mid-engined hybrid supercar merges Formula One-derived technology with Aston Martin’s hallmark craftsmanship. Engineers at Aston Martin Performance Technologies refined its chassis dynamics, aerodynamics and advanced materials, giving Valhalla razor-sharp responses and a sculpted profile. Until Monaco, enthusiasts had only seen static displays; this run unveiled the plug-in hybrid powertrain, impeccable handling and dramatic design to a global audience.
Wearing Podium Green with Lime Green accents inspired by the AMR25 race car, Valhalla powered past Casino Square and echoed through the Tunnel as Alonso explored its limits. “Having followed this project closely for the past 18 months and working alongside the development team, unveiling Valhalla’s dynamic capability to the world at the Monaco Grand Prix weekend is a fantastic moment for me and the brand. Taking Aston Martin’s unmatched luxury credentials and adding cutting-edge F1-inspired technology and class-leading performance, I can confirm Valhalla is a true supercar on the road and track. Outside of the outright power and dynamics, it delivers on all of the raw feelings and emotions you look for when behind the wheel of a car like Valhalla,” he said.
Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark observed, “The extreme performance and unprecedented dynamic bandwidth that distinguishes Valhalla from its rivals presented many new opportunities to the engineering and design teams throughout its development. To witness the culmination of the tireless work from all teams involved, showcased on an iconic F1 circuit like Monaco and driven by an icon like Fernando, is a significant moment in Aston Martin’s rich history of road cars and racing.”
Valhalla’s hybrid system generates 1,079 PS and 1,100 Nm through a bespoke 4.0-litre twin-turbo flat-plane-crank V8, twin front e-motors and an e-motor integrated with the new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and electronic rear differential. This configuration gives the supercar torque-vectoring all-wheel drive, an electric-only range and blistering track pace. Production is limited to 999 cars, with deliveries scheduled for the second half of 2025.
