Bentley Unveils Azure Hybrid Range at Auto Shanghai 2025
Bentley Motors today presents three new models for the Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible, and Flying Spur at Auto Shanghai 2025, offering every lineup a core model that bears only its nameplate, an Azure edition that champions wellness and comfort, and a Speed variant engineered for uncompromising performance. The Azure badge introduces the High Performance Hybrid powertrain: a sophisticated 4.0-litre V8 and a potent electric motor that combine to deliver 680 PS and 930 Nm, setting a new benchmark for luxury grand tourers and saloons that reduce emissions without compromising Bentley’s hallmark torque-rich surge.
A Bentayga Extended Wheelbase Azure, finished in Mulliner’s exclusive Nīla Blue, completes the stand as the pinnacle of Bentley’s SUV craft. Far more than a luxury car, this spacious flagship showcases science-led wellbeing technology, underscoring Bentley’s belief that relaxed occupants make safer, happier drivers.

The Continental GT Convertible Azure on display features a gloss-black matrix grille with a bright chrome surround and vertical vanes, a contrasting gloss-black front splitter, and bright bumper grilles, along with a new silver-and-bright-machined 22-inch Azure wheel. Azure badges grace each front wing. Inside, Bentley upholsters the cabin with 3D Harmony diamond quilting and embroiders the Azure name style on the headrests. Wellness seats, open-pore Crown Cut Walnut veneer, illuminated treadplates, and contrast stitching appear as standard, while a panoramic sunroof and neck warmer ensure light-filled, roof-down comfort in every season.
Mirroring the coupé, the new Flying Spur Azure sports an eleven-vane chrome matrix grille, bright lower grilles, polished brightware and the same 22-inch wheel design. Bentley equips Wellness seating for all four main seats, offering heating, ventilation, and a massage function that makes continuous micro-adjustments to posture, helping occupants stay refreshed on long journeys. Mood lighting, Harmony quilting and open-pore walnut trim enhance the multisensory calm, while illuminated Bentley treadplates supply a refined flourish.
The Bentayga EWB Azure extends that wellbeing focus. Bentley engineers consulted with neuroscientists to reduce noise, vibration, and harshness, and to fine-tune the Touring Specification driver-assistance suite for smoother, safer travel. Studies show tiredness influences 20 per cent of road collisions, so the Bentayga’s science-informed ambience aims to keep drivers alert yet relaxed. Unique 22-inch ten-spoke directional wheels, bright lower bumper grilles and a heated steering wheel join a vast, cossetting interior that offers 24 billion trim combinations. The Front Seat Specification offers 22-way adjustment, along with heating and ventilation, enabling occupants of all heights and builds to maintain their ideal temperature and posture.
