Navarra ignites 2025 Ferrari Challenge UK & 296 debut
Ferrari North Europe has assembled a 20-strong field, blending experienced racers with fresh faces; nine newcomers join the championship, while many familiar competitors step confidently into the 296 Challenge cockpit. The grid competes in two fiercely contested classes: Trofeo Pirelli and Coppa Shell.
In Trofeo Pirelli, reigning champion Gilbert Yates of Charles Hurst sets out to defend his crown. He lines up against seasoned rival Pranav Vangala for HR Owen and braces for a surge from talented rookies Joseph Dean of Stratstone Colchester and Callum Leathem, Yates’s new Charles Hurst team-mate.
Coppa Shell promises equal drama. Veterans Darren Howell of JCT600 Leeds, Jonathan Satchell for HR Owen, Steven Dopson, Mike Dewhirst of Dick Lovett Swindon and Peter Hunter for Stratstone Manchester all return. They share the spotlight with the famous “Three Pauls”: Dixon of Dick Lovett Swindon, Rogers of HR Owen and Simmerson from Graypaul Birmingham. Maranello Sales entrant Huseyin Sert spearheads the class debutants.
Drivers commence Friday testing before Saturday morning free practice and qualifying set the grid for Race One, which takes the lights at 15:30. Sunday offers a fresh qualifying run ahead of Race Two at 14:30. Both encounters run for 30 minutes plus one lap. Fans can stream every second live at live.ferrari.com.
After Spain, the championship returns to Britain for Round Two at Oulton Park on 16–17 May, then heads to Brands Hatch on 21–22 June and Donington Park on 26–27 July. The decisive finale rolls into Silverstone from 5–7 September, where the 2025 Ferrari Challenge UK champions will lift their silverware.
