BMW Concept Speedtop Debuts at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este
At the 2025 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on Lake Como, BMW Group unveiled the BMW Concept Speedtop and confirmed its availability as a highly exclusive production run. The concept reimagines the classic Touring model as a sleek shooting brake with fresh, athletic proportions that strike a balance between elegance and dynamism. “A true BMW exudes dynamism and elegance even when it’s standing still,” observes Adrian van Hooydonk, Head of BMW Group Design, adding that the car’s distinctive profile punctuates the entire Touring lineup.
A shark-nose front, slim headlights, and an illuminated kidney grille establish a commanding presence, while a pronounced central spine sweeps from the bonnet to the rear spoiler to underscore its long-roof silhouette. A gradient roof finish—“Floating Sunstone Maroon” fading to “Floating Sundown Silver”—highlights the sculpted form, and bespoke two-tone, fourteen-spoke wheels broaden the stance to emphasise the car’s sporting intent.
Inside, master craftsmen have lined the cockpit in two-tone leather, pairing rich “Sundown Maroon” with airy “Moonstone White”. Traditional brogue-style perforations and meticulous stitching showcase the Dingolfing Manufactory workshop’s attention to detail. A recessed light beam traces the roof spline through the headliner, casting a warm glow that echoes the exterior design.
The leather-clad boot features a divided layout for longer journeys and an illuminated beam for effortless packing. Behind the seats, leather straps secure two made-to-measure Schedoni bags, and a matching weekend case slots neatly into the luggage bay—each piece handcrafted in Italy to mirror the car’s colour and material palette.
Performance matches the aesthetics: the Concept Speedtop houses BMW’s most powerful V8 engine, ensuring the grand-touring shooting brake delivers breathtaking acceleration alongside its refined style. Building on the enthusiasm that greeted last year’s Concept Skytop, BMW will build just seventy examples of the Concept Speedtop, now open for order to collectors and driving connoisseurs eager to own a new icon of the Concorso d’Eleganza. At the 2025 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on Lake Como, BMW Group unveiled the BMW Concept Speedtop and confirmed its availability as a highly exclusive production run.
