Cadillac Racing Reveals 2026 IMSA GTP Liveries and Lineup

Cadillac Racing, working with Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing and Cadillac Whelen, has unveiled the liveries for its three Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) racecars for the nine-round 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.

The Roar Before the 24 takes place this week and sets the stage for the season-opening 64th Rolex 24 At Daytona on January 24-25.

Cadillac Racing has claimed four overall wins and 12 podiums at North America’s leading endurance race. The team welcomes Wayne Taylor Racing back for its second season as a Cadillac factory team. It also welcomes Action Express Racing for its 15th straight year, which will run a GM prototype in IMSA.

Cadillac keeps the No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R livery unchanged. The No. 10 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R switches from chrome blue to metallic blue with white accents. The No. 40 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R moves from chrome to black with white accents. Cadillac has also moved the U.S. flag on all three GTP cars to the front wing.

The championship-winning teams align with major primary sponsors across the GTP entries.

Whelen Engineering, based in the United States, begins its ninth year as the primary sponsor of the No. 31 entry run by Action Express Racing. Since 1952, Whelen Engineering has been a proud ally and supporter of our nation’s first responders. Whelen provides the high-quality, reliable products and technology needed to support their critical missions -- from warning lights and white illumination to sirens, controllers, and software.

DEX Imaging, also based in the United States, serves as the primary sponsor of the No. 10 and No. 40 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing entries. The company ranks as the nation’s largest independent provider and servicer of office technology.

Cadillac Racing enters its fourth year of GTP competition after winning the final two races of the 2025 IMSA season. Eight drivers return as Cadillac targets more victories in 2026. Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing fields the No. 10 with Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque, with Will Stevens joining for Daytona, Sebring and Road Atlanta. Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing fields the No. 40 with Jordan Taylor and Louis Deletraz, with Colton Herta joining for Daytona, Sebring and Road Atlanta. Cadillac Whelen fields the No. 31 with Jack Aitken and Earl Bamber, with Frederik Vesti joining for endurance races and Long Beach, and Connor Zilisch joining for Daytona.

The Cadillac V-Series.R uses a purpose-built 5.5-litre DOHC V8 engine and marks the third generation of Cadillac prototype. It also marks the brand’s first hybrid-electric racecar. Cadillac Design and Cadillac Racing co-developed the car with chassis constructor Dallara. The vehicle represents the fifth generation of the V-Series and carries key design elements from the Cadillac V-Series production vehicles.

Cadillac Racing updates for 2026 include aligning the timing of EVO use with aerodynamic homologation, as other manufacturers do. The team also introduces a new logo that honours our heritage of innovation, technology and performance while complementing the Cadillac Formula 1Ⓡ Team to ensure brand consistency.

For more than a century, racing has served as a testbed for Cadillac. The programme helps the brand transfer knowledge and technology between racecars and production vehicles, and it also helps build a global fanbase.

Wayne Taylor, co-owner of Wayne Taylor Racing: “As excited as I was at the beginning of last season, I am more excited for this year. Both cars will be presented in a fresh livery featuring our traditional colours, blue and black. They look spectacular. The all-new bodywork and redesign by GM and Dallara is fantastic. It is also great news to have our long-time partner DEX back with us again on our two Cadillac GTPs. We are coming back stronger with our full-season drivers, Ricky, Filipe, Jordan and Louis in place. This Rolex 24, we have elected to keep each of our cockpits to three drivers and are looking forward to having Colton Herta and Will Sevens join our efforts in the endurance races. Winning is part of Wayne Taylor Racing’s DNA and is our only focus in 2026.”

Geoff Marsh, CEO of Whelen Engineering: "As we enter our ninth year partnering with Cadillac Racing and Action Express, we’re proud to continue a collaboration built on trust, performance, and shared purpose," said. "Everything we build at Whelen is designed to support and protect first responders, and our dedication to reliability and innovation is equally reflected in this program. The 2026 livery represents another exciting chapter together, and we look forward to seeing the No. 31 team compete at the highest level in the IMSA GTP class this season."
