Caterham and Motul Renew Partnership for Seven Range

Caterham and Motul announced the renewal of their partnership, which brings together Caterham’s lightweight sports car expertise and Motul’s high-performance lubrication know-how, built on more than 170 years of experience.

The new long-term agreement means every new Caterham Seven that Caterham builds at its HQ in Dartford, UK, will receive its first fill of Motul lubricants. The agreement covers the road-going 170 and every new race car across all five Caterham Motorsport UK Championships.

Motul will also become the title sponsor of the Caterham Seven Championship UK for the 2026 season. The series is the UK's nationally recognised top-tier Caterham racing series, and the partnership will rename it the Motul Caterham Seven Championship UK.

Motul designs and develops tailor-made fluid solutions with a high-performance and motorsport focus. The brand has supported automotive success for decades by supplying lubricants that deliver reliability and performance. As a long-standing partner of motorsport events, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Dakar Rally, Motul applies its technical expertise and R&D capabilities to produce high-quality lubricants for a wide range of requirements.

Ali McColl, Global Head of Marketing, Caterham, commented: “This partnership is a significant milestone for Caterham, aligning our brand with a world-renowned leader in lubricants and fluid technology, reinforcing our commitment to performance across both our road and race cars. Motul brings a depth of experience in performance and efficiency that few other partners can offer.”

He added, “This agreement also marks an exciting new chapter for Caterham Motorsport. As we look ahead to the 2026 season, we are proud to unveil the Motul Caterham Seven Championship UK as the new name for the pinnacle of Caterham racing in the UK.”

Andreea Culcea, Chief Brand & Communication Officer, Motul, added: “We are proud to renew our partnership with Caterham, a brand renowned for its exceptional sports car expertise. Since 2019, our collaboration has been driven by shared values of performance, craft and precision. At Motul, we are developing tailor-made solutions designed to unlock the full potential of our partners’ machines. Working alongside a manufacturer like Caterham, where hand-crafted, limited-production cars are born from deep engineering know-how and passion, reflects our vision of authentic partnerships.”

Caterham and Motul launched the renewed partnership at the 2026 edition of Rétromobile in Paris. They showcased two Caterham Sevens on the Motul stand, a 2005 K-Series and a 2025 Super Seven 2000, for visitors to view at the show.
