Clive Sutton Brings Europe’s First Corvette ZR1 to the UK
Specialist high-performance retailer Clive Sutton has imported Europe’s first new Corvette ZR1 models, one of the world’s most in-demand supercars, to the UK. The firm now offers this acclaimed American supercar to a select group of drivers.
The first arrivals include a striking ‘Competition Yellow’ ZR1 with the distinctive carbon fibre aero package, plus a contrasting black model with twin red racing stripes. These new 1,064 bhp Corvette ZR1 supercars rank among the rarest new performance cars in Europe. Chevrolet built fewer than 200 ZR1 models in the initial 2025 production run, which adds to their exclusivity and collectability.
Clive Sutton, Founder and CEO: “We’ve imported the world’s most desirable high-performance and luxury vehicles for almost 40 years, but I still get excited by supercars like the ZR1. We are proud to have secured the UK and Europe’s first models, and we’ve already sold two of the first three cars we’ve brought in. We expect demand to outstrip supply for this iconic American supercar, and we’re confident that our seamless, premier experience is what customers at this exclusive end of the market expect.”
The Sutton team manages the full process for clients, including sourcing, shipping, homologation, and registration. This end-to-end approach delivers a smooth order-to-delivery experience. As the most powerful Corvette ever, the 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 Corvette ZR1 delivers a 0-60 mph time of just 2.3 seconds and reaches 233 mph. In June last year, the supercar set a 6:50.76 lap time at the Nürburgring, which showed the pace and capability needed to challenge Europe’s best supercars.
Sutton has already allocated its black ZR1, and the team has also secured a buyer for the third car due to arrive shortly. The fully spec’d ‘Competition Yellow’ ZR1 remains available for a customer who wants to join a very select group of European supercar owners. The Sutton team also supports new customer orders for both the Corvette ZR1 coupe and convertible. The team has sourcing, import, and domestic homologation in place, and each model features an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The Corvette ZR1 uses advanced aerodynamics and an adaptive suspension to maximise stability on the road or the track. The deep V8 engine note also helps it stand apart from rivals. Inside, the ZR1 combines driver-focused ergonomics with premium materials, delivering a cockpit that balances performance with luxury. Supportive sports seats and the latest connectivity keep drivers engaged while still making the car easy to use every day.
The US market continues to see Corvette ZR1 models sell for up to $100,000 over the MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price), and Sutton’s sourcing routes offer a competitive way to bring these sought-after cars into the UK. The Sutton team handles all sourcing, transportation, 10% import duty, 20% VAT, UK homologation, and registration. UK customers will pay between £365,000 and £425,000, depending on the specification.
