Ferrari Amalfi: 640 CV Front-Mid-Engine V8 2+ Coupé Debuts

Ferrari today revealed the Amalfi, a front-mid-engine V8 2+ coupé that succeeds the Roma and reshapes modern sportiness through high performance, versatility, and refined style. Drivers can savour exhilarating speed without sacrificing comfort, as the car strikes a balance between adrenaline and daily practicality. Sculpted surfaces flow seamlessly from the bold air intake and long bonnet to the integrated active spoiler, while forged wheels and carbon-fibre accents underscore its sophisticated, athletic character.

Inside, the dual-cockpit cabin cocoons occupants with a new steering wheel that restores physical buttons, including the iconic aluminium start button. A 15.6-inch digital cluster is joined by a 10.25-inch central touchscreen and an 8.8-inch passenger display, delivering intuitive control even when you press on. Carbon fibre, contrasting stitching, and a clever use of the rear seats expand luggage space, making family trips feasible.

An evolved 3,855 cc twin-turbo V8 from the award-winning F154 lineage powers the Amalfi, now calibrated to 640 CV at 7,500 rpm with a redline of 7,600 rpm. Independent turbo control, lightweight camshafts, and low-viscosity oil sharpen throttle response, cut mass, and boost efficiency. The eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox shifts with extra speed and smoothness, launching the coupé from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and 0 to 200 km/h in 9.0 seconds, for a best-in-class 2.29 kg/CV power-to-weight ratio.

Ferrari refined the dynamics with brake-by-wire, the all-surface ABS Evo controller, re-mapped steering, and an active rear wing that adapts between Low Drag, Medium Downforce, and High Downforce modes. Side Slip Control 6.1 orchestrates every chassis system, while faster, more accurate grip estimation via electric power steering heightens confidence on low-traction roads. A comprehensive ADAS suite—featuring Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Keeping Assist, and more—adds reassurance without dulling the driving experience.

Technology enhances every journey. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integrate phones effortlessly, the central tunnel charges devices inductively, and MyFerrari Connect lets owners remotely monitor the car. Order the Burmester® Premium Audio System and fourteen speakers pump 1,200 watts through ring-radiator tweeters for concert-hall clarity, adjustable via three listening presets.

Aerodynamicists sculpted every millimetre: vortex generators and diffusers channel air beneath, a bypass duct above the headlights vents pressure, and the re-profiled rear diffuser stabilises high-speed flow. The active spoiler generates up to 110 kg of downforce at 250 km/h, with only four per cent extra drag, while a discreet 20 mm nolder recompresses low-drag airflow.

Ferrari pairs 20-inch forged wheels with Bridgestone Potenza Sport or Pirelli P ZERO tyres—245/35 R20 front and 285/35 R20 rear—preserving the Roma’s sidewall ratio for a supple ride and crisp response. Buyers benefit from the seven-year Genuine Maintenance programme, which covers annual or 20,000-km services, genuine spares, and factory-trained technicians worldwide, ensuring the Amalfi performs impeccably throughout its life.

The Ferrari Amalfi fuses elegance and power, emotion and functionality, redefining the front-mid-engine 2+ grand tourer for drivers who demand uncompromised excitement in every context.
