Bentley Unveils Striking 2025 Winged B Emblem and Concept
Bentley Motors today revealed its redesigned Bentley Wings emblem, the fifth iteration in 106 years, and will debut it on a future vision concept car on 8 July, the same day the marque opens its new Design Studio in Crewe. Designer F. Gordon Crosby created the original Winged B in 1919; subsequent updates in 1931, the 1990s and 2002 refined the symbol, yet none changed it as boldly as this 2025 version.
Director of Design Robin Page led a select in-house team through an internal competition, where Interior Designer Young Nam proposed the winning concept. They sharpened the wings to evoke a Peregrine Falcon in flight, removed the lower feathers for a cleaner silhouette, and re-engineered the central jewel so it can stand alone as a graphic. Watch-inspired details—bevelled glass, a chamfered metal surround and visible three-dimensional depth—underscore Bentley’s commitment to handcrafted luxury.
“If a luxury brand is the product of the stories it has created, then its emblem is its signature. In more than a century of history, this is only the fourth evolution of Bentley’s iconic Winged B, and redesigning it was a formidable task for which we’ve taken great care. In an era of ever-increasing complexity and fidelity from digitalisation, an exercise of simplification and refinement is a modern necessity – and so the new emblem is cleaner, sharper and more impactful than its predecessor. The new Winged B – and the concept car that introduces it – both symbolise a powerful, exciting future for this company and its exceptional, handcrafted products.”
Throughout Bentley's history, the emblem’s form has mirrored each era’s design language. Crosby’s asymmetric wings, with differing feather counts to deter forgeries, gave way in 1931 to a symmetrical badge when Rolls-Royce assumed ownership. The 1996 refresh reinstated ornate curves, while the 2002 redesign for the first Continental GT restored asymmetry and propelled annual production from 1,000 to 10,000 vehicles. The 2025 Winged B now sets a fresh course for forthcoming Bentley design.
Bentley will unveil the new emblem formally in Crewe on 7 July during the Design Studio launch, followed by the global reveal of the concept car on 8 July, signalling the next chapter in the British marque’s pursuit of exhilarating performance and progressive elegance.
