Bugatti Factor ONE Redefines Hypercar Cycling Speed
The Bugatti Factor ONE brings together hypercar engineering and elite cycling performance in a bold new collaboration between Bugatti and Factor Bikes. Factor Bikes, a high-performance bicycle manufacturer with an engineering-first approach, pushes the limits of what performance cycling can achieve. Rob Gitelis, a former professional cyclist and carbon engineering pioneer, founded the brand in Norfolk, UK. Factor designs, prototypes, and manufactures its frames in-house, which gives the company exceptional control over innovation, speed, and performance.
Both disciplines demand absolute excellence, marginal gains, and engineering precision. They also demand the personal commitment that turns narrow margins into victory. The Bugatti Factor ONE combines Bugatti’s legendary hyper sports car DNA with advanced bicycle engineering to create a machine that delivers speed, precision, and exclusivity without compromise.
Bugatti and Factor built the Bugatti Factor ONE around a shared belief in obsessive detail and performance without limits. Every element of the bike supports aerodynamic efficiency, stiffness, and ride quality. The design draws on Bugatti’s engineering heritage and Factor’s proven expertise in elite-level bicycle design. Together, they have set a new benchmark for pioneering cycling design.
Bugatti will produce just 250 individually numbered units worldwide. That limited run reflects the exclusivity and craftsmanship that define every Bugatti automobile.
Bugatti has always pushed boundaries, from the Type 35 that dominated Grand Prix racing in the 1920s to the Veyron and Chiron that reshaped expectations for road cars. Factor Bikes follows the same pursuit of speed in high-performance cycling. The Factor ONE, the world’s fastest UCI-legal road bike, showed how far innovation could go within the UCI rulebook. The Bugatti Factor ONE steps beyond those limits. It uses a wider fork stance and achieves lower drag numbers because it does not follow UCI restrictions.
Trust and mutual respect shaped the collaboration from the start. That approach allowed Factor to pursue the fastest configuration it could validate, no matter how complex or unconventional the solution looked. The team followed one clear principle: if a feature does not deliver a measurable advantage, it has no reason to exist.
Advanced carbon construction, sharp aerodynamic profiling, and a fully integrated design language give the Bugatti Factor ONE a striking presence and a highly refined technical edge. The bike features a distinctive two-tone split graphic that has become a Bugatti signature. That bold visual break highlights the sculpted surfaces and aerodynamic forms that echo Bugatti’s hyper sports cars.
The design also honours Bugatti’s racing legacy through the famous Bugatti Blue. In the 1920s, national racing authorities assigned international racing colours by country, and this shade came to represent France. When Ettore Bugatti’s Type 35 dominated Grand Prix racing, that colour became a symbol of victory. The Bugatti Factor ONE carries that same intent with the prominent white ‘BUGATTI’ script along the frame, which gives the bike an unmistakable identity at speed.
At the front of the bike, Bugatti places the "Dancing Elephant", one of the brand’s most iconic symbols. Artist Rembrandt Bugatti, the brother of founder Ettore Bugatti, created the original figure. For the Bugatti Factor ONE, the team has reinterpreted the emblem as a subtle tribute to Bugatti’s artistic heritage. The detail connects engineering precision with timeless design.
The engineering extends far beyond the bike’s appearance. The front fork uses refined shaping and improved airflow management to reduce drag around the leading edge. This design boosts high-speed efficiency and improves front-end stability. It also gives riders precise handling in race conditions.
The collaboration also reaches deep into component development. The team customised several bespoke parts exclusively for the Bugatti Factor ONE, including the Selle Italia saddle, CARBON-TI rotors and chainrings, and Continental tyres. Each component supports the frame’s ultra-performance philosophy. The specification centres on the Black Inc Bugatti Hyper 62 Wheels, which serve as the cycling equivalent of a hypercar wheelset.
The wheelset weighs just 1298 grams for the pair. Its 62 mm rim profile supports sustained high-speed efficiency and balances drag reduction with strong crosswind stability. The advanced carbon lay-up maximises torsional stiffness and power transfer under load while preserving controlled compliance for a refined ride. Co-moulded boomerang spokes, precision-engineered hub internals, and enhanced hub-to-flange bonding create a ride quality that feels lively, direct, and exceptionally efficient.
The Bugatti Factor ONE expresses a shared commitment to innovation, precision, and top-level performance. It targets cyclists who expect extraordinary performance from themselves and from their equipment. It also speaks to collectors, enthusiasts, and athletes who want the rarest expression of performance cycling.
Bugatti and Factor will unveil the Bugatti Factor ONE at a joint event in Shanghai on 18 March 2026. For more information, visit www.factorbikes.com. [https://bugatti.link/factorbikes]
