Ferrari Classiche-FIVA Pact Streamlines Historic Car Status

At AutoMoto d’Epoca in Bologna, Ferrari Classiche and the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA) signed an agreement that grants Ferrari cars with a Ferrari Classiche Certificate of Authenticity automatic eligibility for the FIVA Identity Card. This closer alignment between Ferrari Classiche and FIVA simplifies classic Ferrari authentication and offers additional assurance for owners, collectors, and organisers of historic vehicle events.

Classic car event organisers worldwide increasingly request the FIVA ID Card as proof of historical originality, and the new agreement allows the Ferrari Classiche Certificate of Authenticity to serve as verification that a car also meets the technical inspection standards set out in the FIVA Technical Code. Owners who obtain Ferrari Classiche certification can therefore demonstrate both authenticity and compliance in a single, recognised documentation process, strengthening the status and value of classic Ferrari models in the international historic car community.

At the FIVA stand during the show, a 1957 Pinin Farina-bodied 250 GT coupé symbolised this milestone as the first Ferrari Classiche-certified car to receive the FIVA ID Card. This example illustrates how the partnership between Ferrari Classiche and FIVA promotes the preservation, recognition, and responsible use of significant historic Ferraris on the global classic motoring stage.
