Maserati Steals Spotlight at Goodwood 2025 With MCPURA

The Goodwood Festival of Speed ended memorably as Maserati thrilled spectators with four days of pure Italian excellence. The Trident marque dominated the Sussex estate with adrenaline-charged track runs, captivating world premieres and a paddock brimming with luxury and performance.

Maserati unveiled the MCPURA super sports car on Thursday, 10 July, presenting the purest testament to its performance-driven philosophy. Available immediately as both a coupé and the open-air MCPURA Cielo, the newcomer distils the spirit of the MC20 into an even more intense form.

A carbon-fibre monocoque delivers lightness and rigidity, while the race-bred Nettuno V6 engine employs patented pre-chamber combustion for explosive power. “Butterfly” doors create drama on entry, and the Cielo variant adds a retractable electrochromic glass roof that switches from clear to opaque at the touch of a button.

On the legendary Hillclimb, the road-legal GT2 Stradale stole the show. Maserati Corse collaborated with TubiStyle to craft a hand-welded titanium racing exhaust that trims seven kilograms and unleashes a deep, magnetic note echoing across the Downs. The visceral soundtrack underscored Maserati’s track-to-road expertise and electrified the crowd.

The refined GranCabrio followed in stylish Verde Giada with perforated Ice leather. It’s 490-hp 3.0-litre Nettuno twin-turbo V6 propels the car from 0-100 km/h in four seconds and on to 300 km/h, proving that open-top grand touring can still thrill.

Maserati erupted onto the scene with the track-only MCXtrema in striking Blue Xtrema livery. The company will build just sixty-two examples and homologate each solely for circuit use; every car channels 740 hp from the Nettuno twin-turbo V6 to deliver unfiltered speed and razor-sharp responses.

Goodwood 2025 thus closed under the unmistakable sign of the Trident. Maserati’s world premiere of the MCPURA, the debut of its racing exhaust and the parade of headline models in the Super Paddock and on the Hillclimb reaffirmed the marque’s unique blend of high-performance luxury. These celebrations continue the Year of the Trident, honour the emblem created a century ago and pave the way towards the 2026 centenary of Maserati’s first racing victory with the Tipo 26 at the Targa Florio. The journey celebrates a glorious past while driving resolutely towards a future defined by excellence, innovation and authentic Italian spirit.
