Halcyon Unveils Electric Rolls-Royce Corniche Highland Heather

Halcyon will debut its first remastered and electrified Rolls-Royce Corniche, the Highland Heather commission, at the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace from 5th to 7th September 2025. The in-house design study launches Halcyon’s Rolls-Royce remastering services, drawing its name and inspiration from the majesty of Scotland’s moors while quietly paying tribute to the pioneering spirit of the 1907 Scottish reliability trials.

Halcyon will strictly limit production to 60 one-of-one commissions and will curate each car in close collaboration with its owner through the Halcyon atelier. Each project unites peerless craftsmanship, bespoke artistry and advanced engineering. An in-house 800V electric drivetrain underpins every commission, delivering silent, effortless performance, so these legendary cars once again represent the pinnacle of luxury motoring and British coachbuilding.

Matthew Pearson, CEO of Halcyon, commented: “Unveiling the result of our design study in the beautiful setting of Hampton Court Palace gives our clients a first taste of how incredible their cars will be. The passion, effort, and attention to detail that our team has poured into the Highland Heather design study have created a vehicle unlike any other. Classic elegance and a modern spark make for everything the Corniche should be, unmistakably Rolls-Royce.”

Guided by Henry Royce’s uncompromising mantra to “take the best that exists and make it better,” Halcyon has embarked on a mission to remaster the most iconic Rolls-Royce models of the 20th century, capturing the spirit and emotion of a bygone era while embracing modern possibilities in electric luxury.

Halcyon begins with the Rolls-Royce Corniche and Silver Shadow and hand-builds each remastering in Surrey through an intensive 12-month process. Expert craftspeople devote more than 2,000 hours to a ground-up bare-metal restoration, uniting traditional and modern coachbuilding techniques to perfect hundreds of hand-built, hand-finished parts, returning them to, and beyond, their original form.

From this perfect foundation, Halcyon engineers integrate today’s best technologies without adding weight. The team has developed an in-house 800V, 500-horsepower electric powertrain over two years to deliver effortless, whisper-quiet motion. Owners enjoy twenty-first-century performance and reliability alongside the timeless design and tactile analogue character of the original classic car.

Halcyon tailors each commission in close collaboration with its owner to create a truly one-of-a-kind car. Halcyon designers work directly with clients and, when desired, collaborate with world-renowned artists to create exceptional works of art, with no request left unexplored.

Highland Heather, presented in a stunning Purple Moorland finish, becomes Halcyon’s first completely remastered Rolls-Royce Corniche. The distinctive purple paint evokes the delicate hues of Scottish heather, and the theme continues throughout the interior, where subtle engraved details honour the car’s provenance and inspiration. The centrepiece, the Halcyon Gallery, showcases a water-inspired sculpture that symbolises the highland rivers of Scotland.

Visitors can experience a Halcyon commission in person when Highland Heather appears alongside the Halcyon leadership team at the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace in the United Kingdom from 5 September to 7th, 2025.

Halcyon builds every commission in Britain. The team hand-builds each car in Surrey, dedicating more than 2,000 hours to the bare-metal restoration alone. Expert craftspeople blend time-honoured techniques with modern precision, from advanced 3D scanning to contemporary materials, to prepare each chassis as a flawless foundation refined to a standard not possible in period. The body then receives a multi-layer paint process, each coat applied and polished by hand to achieve a deep, mirror-smooth surface. Inside, the same dedication continues. Clients can specify hand-stitched leather upholstery, rare book-matched veneers, and individually machined metal details, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the highest standard of bespoke craftsmanship and quality.

No two Halcyon remasterings are alike. Clients envision each named commission, and Halcyon’s craftspeople, designers, and engineers bring it to life. With deep reverence for timeless coach-built form, Halcyon works closely with owners to refine and enhance every element, honouring the original intent while elevating it into a true one-of-one masterpiece. Limited to just 60 hand-built commissions worldwide, each car is curated from a library of the world’s finest natural materials. Clients can tailor every stitch, hue and finish, from one-of-one paints and embroidery to collaborations with world-renowned artists.

The remastered cabin draws on more than a century of British automotive heritage, discreetly updating it for modern comfort and convenience. At its heart sits the Halcyon Gallery, a 1.4m wide showcase of bespoke design, with themes that can extend seamlessly throughout the interior for a unified expression of the client’s vision. The same philosophy continues outside. Clients may opt for the classic look of the original or introduce subtle refinements, including uninterrupted, handmade chrome bumpers, bespoke Halcyon headlights, unique wheel designs, and custom finishes or detailing, all developed in close collaboration with Halcyon’s designers.

Highland Heather demonstrates the depth of storytelling within the commissioning process. Its distinctive purple finish recalls Scottish heather, and it introduces the first expression of the Halcyon Galler — a water-inspired sculpture that evokes the Highland rivers. Subtle engraved details throughout the cabin further honour the car’s provenance and inspiration, including the iconic roads of the Grande Corniche. An early client commission takes this dedication to bespoke even further, with a unique two-seat configuration and a sculpted rear cabin designed in collaboration with the owner. Halcyon’s team is also exploring the integration of a purpose-crafted Louis Vuitton luggage set, a clear statement of the limitless possibilities within its bespoke design programme.

Modern innovation ensures an effortless experience. Halcyon’s remastering delivers peerless performance through a state-of-the-art 800-Volt electric platform developed with sister company Evice Technologies. The system offers up to 500 hp, combining silence and refinement, and achieves industry-leading efficiency to meet Halcyon’s zero-weight-added requirement, thereby elevating the Corniche’s effortless waftability and character. The modular device architecture gives clients the flexibility to upgrade as technology advances. Two battery configurations are available. The standard system combines front and rear battery packs, offering a range of up to 250 miles. The extended option integrates an additional pack, increasing the range to up to 300 miles on a single charge. Regenerative braking adds to driving range. Electric vehicle systems support AC charging and DC rapid charging, and remain compatible with all common charging infrastructures to maximise spontaneity and convenience. An advanced active thermal management system ensures consistent and reliable performance in all weather conditions by maintaining optimal battery temperatures through cooling or heating.

Chassis and suspension enhancements add dynamic composure while maintaining the signature cloud-like ride. A zero-weight-added semi-active suspension and an upgraded braking system work together for secure control. Continuously controlled electronic dampers support three signature drive modes, catering to any occasion. Drive offers a perfectly balanced experience for everyday journeys. Touring delivers an exceptionally smooth throttle and chassis for long-distance cruising, and Spirited provides greater immediacy through a quicker throttle response and more reactive damping. Each journey becomes a unique experience tailored to the conditions and the driver's preferences.

Halcyon discreetly integrates modern technologies for comfort and convenience while preserving a timeless aesthetic and analogue charm—a concealable infotainment unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto pairs with a bespoke high-end audio system. Driver-focused features include cruise control, a reversing camera, climate control, and electrically adjustable seats with heating and ventilation, providing effortless comfort in any environment.

Halcyon’s remastering service starts from £420,000, plus the donor vehicle and local taxes. Clients who do not already own a Rolls-Royce donor car can use Halcyon’s acquisition service to source a suitable vehicle. Halcyon also offers remastering for the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, the Bentley T-Series and the Bentley Corniche. Holding deposits are now open. Production is scheduled to begin in Q4 2025, with the first deliveries expected to follow in Q4 2026. Each commission is handcrafted as part of a 12-month build carried out in close collaboration with each client.
