Bentley Continental GT S and GTC S Hybrid Performance Debut
Bentley has launched the new Continental GT S and GTC S. The models draw inspiration from the limited-edition Supersports and expand choice across the Continental range. Bentley pairs dramatic design with its latest hybrid powertrain and the Continental GT Speed’s chassis technology. The S models target drivers who prioritise performance. The fourth-generation Continental GT S models are the fastest and most powerful to carry the S badge, and they follow the same driver-focused mantra as the Supersports.
The new S models deliver 680 PS and 930 Nm through the High Performance Hybrid powertrain. This output adds 130 PS over the previous-generation GT S. When the system is fully deployed, it delivers rapid acceleration, reaching 0-60mph in 3.3 seconds (0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds). It reaches a top speed of 190mph. A sports exhaust adds a thrilling soundtrack and highlights the 4.0-litre V8’s crossplane beat. The High Performance Hybrid powertrain outperforms the previous generation’s W12 Speed powertrain across power, torque and performance measures, while also delivering up to 50 miles / 80 km in pure electric mode.
Bentley pairs this hybrid powertrain with a chassis setup previously available only on the GT Speed and GT Mulliner. The package includes the Bentley Performance Active Chassis. It brings Active All Wheel Drive, twin valve dampers, torque vectoring from front to rear and across the axles, and the 48V Bentley Dynamic Ride active anti-roll system. Bentley adds a new generation of ESC control software. For the first time on a Continental GT S, the car also includes an electronic limited-slip differential and all-wheel steering. This AWD chassis setup delivers Bentley’s most advanced, driver-focused approach for maximum sporting appeal.
This chassis setup gives the driver access to a wider range of driving modes and road or track behaviour. With the advanced ESC system fully engaged, the car controls traction to inhibit oversteer. In Dynamic Mode, the car allows rear axle slip, allowing the driver to shape the cornering attitude while maintaining the confidence to bring the car back in line if required. The driver can also switch the ESC system off completely, allowing them to balance the cornering stance on throttle for a truly exhilarating driving experience.
The new S models communicate their sporting character at first glance. The Blackline Specification deepens the dark front lower spoiler and adds gloss black matrix grilles. Black Bentley wings and BENTLEY lettering set the tone and give the car a purposeful, lean and potent stance. Beluga black mirror caps, sill extensions and a rear diffuser reinforce the performance look. Dark tint, full LED matrix headlamps with Bentley’s Precision design detail appear as a feature shared only with the GT Speed. At the rear, the S specification adds dark-tint taillamps and tailpipe finishers for the sports exhaust. Bentley fits a 22” ten swept-spoke alloy wheel as standard in silver, and it offers additional wheel options. Buyers can choose a ten-spoke swept-spoke alloy wheel in gloss black with bright machined faces, or a full-gloss black version.
Bentley applies the same attention to detail inside the Continental GT S models to create a distinct identity. The two-colour upholstery split is unique to these models. Combined with the fluted seat design, it creates a purposeful, performance-focused driving environment. Bentley uses tactile Dinamica technical fabric on key touchpoints, including the steering wheel, gear lever, seats, and door inserts. The standard Piano black veneer mirrors the exterior Blackline theme, while Bentley also offers high-gloss carbon fibre and other finishes as options. Additional options include full leather upholstery and a dark-tinted chrome specification for all interior metal brightwork.
Bentley Grand Touring takes many forms, from the wellness-oriented Azure to the ultimate performance of the GT Speed. Each model reflects the priorities of the people who drive them. Now, a focused blend of exterior design, interior specification and dynamic chassis engineering gives the new Continental GT S models a distinctive niche in the range. With bold styling, hybrid performance, and a clear focus on driving enjoyment, the Continental GT S and GTC S extend the breadth of choice within the definitive grand tourer line-up.
