Hennessey Venom F5-M: The World's Most Powerful Manual Hypercar
Hennessey Special Vehicles, the Texas-based hypercar manufacturer, will reveal its most engaging and driver-focused creation yet at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (9-12 July): the new Hennessey Venom F5-M. The car redefines driving for the most passionate high-performance hypercar enthusiasts and marks a bold new chapter for the brand.
The new model carries the comprehensive 'Venom F5 Evolution' upgrades, including new aerodynamics, active suspension and 2,031bhp, which makes the Venom F5-M the world's most powerful manual hypercar. It builds on the qualities that define Hennessey: extreme driver engagement and a relentless pursuit of ultimate performance. Hennessey designs, develops and builds the F5-M in Texas, combining a new carbon fibre chassis, bespoke bodywork and revised aerodynamics with a unique six-speed gated manual transmission and an open-top roadster configuration. Together, these elements place the driver at the centre of one of the most visceral driving experiences ever created.
The Venom F5-M will make its global debut in the Goodwood 'Supercar Paddock', where its twin-turbo V8 engine will treat crowds to the sound of it thundering up the Goodwood Hill twice daily throughout the four-day festival. Professional racer Alex Brundle will drive the car, giving high-performance enthusiasts an early dynamic showcase of America's hypercar in its most engaging form yet.
At its core sits Hennessey's 6.6-litre twin-turbocharged 'Fury' V8, which delivers a monumental 2,031bhp and confirms the F5-M as the most powerful manual road car in the world. Sophisticated traction control and engine management systems pair with the powertrain to deliver a precise, linear application of power, giving the driver confident control of output in every gear.
John Hennessey, company founder and CEO, said: "We've always believed the Venom F5 delivers the most intense performance experience on the planet – but with the F5-M, we've gone even further. A gated six-speed manual puts the driver completely in control, while the open-top design brings the Fury V8 sound directly into the cockpit. The noise, the feel, and the power delivery are raw and unfiltered – it's the most all-consuming driving experience we've created!"
The Venom F5-M introduces distinctive, unmistakable styling elements that clearly set it apart from the rest of the F5 family. Most notably, a dramatic 55-inch (1,400mm) dorsal fin stretches from the roof-mounted air intake to the trailing edge of the rear deck. This eye-catching feature delivers immediate visual identity while also enhancing high-speed aerodynamics beyond 200mph. An integrated roof scoop also feeds cool air to the engine bay, while the dorsal fin channels air from the sides rearwards.
The fin carries a personal touch too: hand-painted flags on either side of its trailing end celebrate both Hennessey's American heritage and the owner's British nationality. The British Union Flag mirrors the American Stars and Stripes, and Hennessey has painted both in the same gold used across the car's other livery accents.
Inside, Hennessey has entirely reconfigured the cockpit around the manual driving experience and added more custom personalisation details. Every surface, control, and interface aims to heighten the physical and emotional interaction between the driver and the machine. A prominently mounted billet aluminium gear shifter sits within a precision-milled six-speed gate, positioned to maximise ergonomics and tactile engagement. The short-throw lever carries precise weighting to reward every shift, slotting through its billet aluminium gate with a crisp, machined-metal clink.
Hennessey will produce only 12 Venom F5-M Roadsters globally, each uniquely specified. The first production example, which belongs to a UK customer and debuts at Goodwood, wears immaculate exposed purple carbon with anodised gold accents. The owner used the bespoke design and engineering services of Hennessey's special 'Maverick' division to add bespoke exterior and interior features to their F5-M. Individual touches include a 24-karat gold nose badge and the family name 'Sheikh' placed on the rear of the car and stitched inside on the driver and passenger knee pads too. Hennessey has allocated the other models in the 12-car F5-M range to clients worldwide, with owners in the United States leading the way.
Nathan Malinick, Director of Design, said: "Our decision to offer a manual gearbox fundamentally changed the Venom F5. It made driver interaction and engagement the primary focus; it delivered the freedom to explore visual presence and aerodynamics in entirely new ways; and it enabled a fully redesigned centre console. The F5-M is not simply an F5 with a manual transmission – it is a complete design response to a very different kind of driver involvement."
The Venom F5-M represents a significant evolution for the Hennessey hypercar range. Following its launch, Hennessey will make both the manual transmission and the updated chassis architecture available across other F5 models, letting customers specify Coupe and Roadster variants, as well as track-focused Revolution models, with the six-speed manual configuration.
Priced at $2.65 million before taxes, the Venom F5-M stands as one of the most exclusive and extreme hypercars available today, built for a select group of owners seeking an unmatched, fully immersive driving experience. Hennessey has now delivered more than 40 Venom F5 hypercars to customers worldwide, reinforcing its position as the creator of America's hypercar.
