Maserati Thrills at Goodwood Festival of Speed World Debut

Maserati stars at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, unveiling a fresh and authentic surge of energy in pure Maserati fashion. The world debut, which crowns a bold journey from Modena—the heart of Italian craftsmanship—to the West Sussex estate, signals a new chapter for the House of the Trident as the GranCabrio, GT2 Stradale and MCXtrema ready themselves for the iconic Hillclimb.

The road-homologated Maserati GT2 Stradale brings the marque’s closed-wheel racing success to public roads. Powered by the 640 CV (471 kW) Nettuno V6, it sprints from 0–100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and surpasses 320 km/h, making it the most potent combustion-engine Maserati yet for both circuit and street. The glossy Blu Corse finish, 20-inch alloy wheels and matte carbon-fibre accents frame an interior trimmed in black Alcantara with Alcantara Blu racing seats.

Beside it, the 490 CV Maserati GranCabrio turns heads in Verde Giada, set off by black brake callipers and diamond-cut Glossy Black wheels—20 inches at the front, 21 at the rear. Ice-coloured perforated full-grain leather and 3D carbon-fibre details enrich the cockpit, while full LED headlamps add a dark flourish. A retractable soft top provides true four-seat open-air comfort, and the 3.0-litre Nettuno twin-turbo V6 propels the car to 300 km/h, reaching 100 km/h in just four seconds.

Completing the trio, the track-only Maserati MCXtrema dazzles in bespoke Blue Xtrema livery. Limited to 62 examples, this 740-hp masterpiece harnesses a 3.0-litre twin-turbo Nettuno V6 pushed to its limits. Designed for collectors and gentleman drivers who crave unfiltered exhilaration, the MCXtrema fuses sculptural design with uncompromising racing spirit, expressing Maserati DNA with every rev.

All three models do more than pose; they attack the 1.86-kilometre Goodwood Hillclimb, threading between ancient trees, unforgiving bends and flint walls before ascending 100 metres toward the Racecourse. The demanding route has tested elite drivers for decades, and Maserati’s dynamic trio rises to the challenge.

Since 1993, the Goodwood Festival of Speed has captivated global motorsport fans. Since 2000, it has welcomed contemporary supercars, prototypes, hypercars, ars and Formula 1 machines into its lively programme of displays and timed runs. Maserati uses this exclusive stage to showcase a vision of luxury forged in Modena’s expert workshops.

The brand’s appearance would coincide with the Year of the Trident, celebrating the emblem conceived a century ago. The countdown now leads to racing’s centenary: in 1926, the Maserati Tipo 26, bearing the first bonnet-mounted Trident, won its class at the Targa Florio with Alfieri Maserati at the wheel. That triumph fuels a future defined by excellence, innovation and authentic Italian character.
