Rezvani Retro RR1: Modern 992 Power, Iconic 935 Style

The Rezvani Retro RR1 channels the spirit of the Porsche 935 while harnessing contemporary Porsche 992 engineering. It pairs a carbon fibre body with manual or PDK transmissions and delivers up to 750 hp, giving you modern performance with legendary 935 style. Shaped by the past, the headlights honour the original 911 spirit and announce a car built for drivers, not just for display.

We proudly unveil something truly special—a dream brought to life. What if your childhood dream were built on a modern platform? As children, many of us pinned a 935 poster to the wall as a symbol of speed and ambition. Today, we’ve turned that poster into reality. Now, you don’t just look at it. You drive it. You own it.

The Retro RR1 blends advanced technology and comfort with a nostalgic design that captures the purity of classic motorsport. Limited to just 50 examples, each car carries its chassis number on the livery, with Chassis #01 wearing the classic 935 Martini livery. A local California client is bringing his childhood dream to life; he fell for the design the moment RR1 launched, and the images whisked him back to his teenage bedroom, where he would gaze at his dream car every day before flopping onto his bed.

Designed in-house by Rezvani, the brand’s inaugural Retro model draws on the dominant Le Mans racers of the 1970s. We build it on Porsche 992 platforms from 2020 to the present and craft the body primarily from lightweight carbon fibre, with only the driver and passenger doors retained from the donor. The exhaust exits through the centre, echoing the 935’s signature detail, and the stance widens by 100 mm at the rear and 50 mm at the front for poise and grip.

Real-world numbers back the style. With upgraded turbos, an upgraded intercooler and software, the RR1 has put down 618 hp at the wheels on 91-octane fuel on a dyno (Dyno Chart), with higher outputs possible on 93-octane or race fuel. In track specification, every exterior panel except the doors uses carbon fibre, contributing to a 2,950 lb curb weight.

The RR1 600 targets enthusiasts who want a manual transmission or PDK. It’s 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six receives uprated turbos and hardware to produce 600 hp. A close-ratio manual maximises engagement, and a hand-made wooden shift knob connects the driver to the machine. You can fine-tune the chassis for street or circuit, with the top-tier Öhlins TTX-Pro coilover set-up available for those who crave track precision, complemented by a free-flowing exhaust for a thrilling soundtrack. This variant is built on the 992 Carrera platform with rear- or all-wheel drive and posts a claimed 0–60 mph time of 3.0 seconds.

The RR1 750 builds on the Turbo S platform and delivers a 750 hp punch through all-wheel drive. It sharpens throttle response and intensifies the exhaust note, with street or track suspension options to suit your use. The result is a heart-thumping launch to a claimed 0–60 mph in 2.0 seconds, turning every journey into an occasion.

Both variants wear 20×10.0 front and 21×13.0 rear wheels with 275/35 R20 front and 335/30 R21 rear tyres. You can specify retro turbofan-style wheels and optional carbon fibre turbofan covers for a period-correct look tied to contemporary dynamics.

Personalisation runs deep. Engine enhancements include an upgraded intercooler ($3,500) and an auxiliary radiator ($3,500). Suspension upgrades span Öhlins Motorsport TTX-Pro coilovers for dual street/track use ($8,500) and a centre-lock wheel conversion ($12,500). Braking can step up to Brembo GT-S 6-piston callipers with 380×34 mm discs ($12,500). Inside, choose bespoke seat inserts in any fabric or pattern ($3,750), a bespoke shift knob ($550), and a custom steering wheel with optional shift lights ($4,500). Outside, select Paint to Sample exterior paint ($8,500), carbon fibre turbofan wheel covers ($4,500), custom livery graphics ($2,500), custom wheel colours ($2,500) and black exhaust tips ($500). Further options include a full custom livery ($7,500), a steel roll cage ($5,500), a racing harness ($750), lightweight polycarbonate windows ($3,700) and a matching racing helmet ($2,750).

Pricing starts at USD 195,000, with an approximate build time of four months. Customers provide a 2020–present Porsche 992 Carrera donor, and production remains strictly limited to 50 examples to preserve exclusivity.

CEO Ferris Rezvani emphasised the need to stand apart from the sea of predictable resto-mods. He insisted the car should adopt a daring, genuinely retro aesthetic that breaks from customary designs. The result is a unique blend of past and present: the Rezvani Retro RR1 marries modern platforms and creature comforts with design cues inspired by motorsport’s golden era. It retains timeless charm without sacrificing today’s performance, technology or usability—perfect for drivers who prize classic aesthetics and modern functionality in equal measure.
