Lenovo Reveals Rollable OLED Display Devices at CES 2026

TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology (TCL CSOT), a global leader in advanced display technologies and a subsidiary of TCL Technology, and Lenovo, a global technology powerhouse, today announced the latest milestone in their long-term partnership. Lenovo unveiled new devices with bold designs and cutting-edge displays from TCL CSOT at CES 2026. The collaboration underlines a shared focus on advancing display technology and improving the visual experience for users worldwide.

"At TCL CSOT, our innovation is driven by the APEX values — Amazing Display Experience, Protective of Eye Health, Eco-Friendly to Build and Use, and X-Unlimited Imaginative Potential," said Jun Zhao, Senior Vice President of TCL Technology and CEO of TCL CSOT. "We are dedicated to providing Lenovo with high-quality, custom display solutions that turn advanced technology into everyday excellence, and we look forward to exploring new frontiers together."

Lenovo also introduced the Legion Pro Rollable Concept, a 16-inch premium gaming laptop concept designed for professional esports athletes who train at the highest level. Its rollable OLED display uses PureSight OLED Gaming technology and expands horizontally from 16 inches to 21.5 inches, and then to 24 inches. The screen adapts in real time to support each stage of training and competition.

The device uses a dual-motor, tension-based system that unrolls the panel from both ends, delivering smooth expansion and contraction with minimal vibration or noise. A dedicated tensioning mechanism keeps the OLED panel consistently taut. Low-friction materials support durability throughout the rolling cycle.

The rollable OLED display supports different training phases in a simple way. Athletes can use Focus Mode at 16 inches to sharpen reflexes. They can switch to Tactical Mode at 21.5 inches to improve situational awareness. They can move to Arena Mode at 24 inches to simulate full-scale competitive play. The concept aims to help players train extensively while travelling light.

Lenovo and TCL CSOT also showcased the Motorola Razr fold, which introduces a new foldable form factor. The device pairs a 6.6-inch external display with an unfolding 8.1-inch 2K LTPO main screen. The design offers a larger canvas for work, creativity, and entertainment while keeping a slim profile that feels comfortable in the hand. The external screen delivers the familiar ease of a candy-bar smartphone, and the main LTPO display expands the experience into a more versatile space that supports both productivity and play.

The companies built these upgrades on display platforms they co-developed in previous generations. These advances aim to deliver practical benefits, including more immersive viewing, improved visual comfort, and smooth adaptability across a wide range of use cases.

TCL CSOT and Lenovo have built their partnership on long-term co-innovation in flexible OLED and foldable smartphone display technology. Their earlier work includes the Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i Laptop, with a 4K flexible OLED display that debuted at CES 2025, and the Motorola Razr 60 Series foldable smartphones, which launched in July 2025 with TCL CSOT’s flexible OLED technology.

The Legion Pro Rollable Concept and Motorola Razr fold strengthen both companies’ commitment to turning advanced display research into accessible, market-leading user experiences. Through continued collaboration, TCL CSOT and Lenovo aim to set new benchmarks for performance, wellness, and sustainability in global display standards.
