Lotus Emira V6 SE & Turbo: British Mid-Engine Thrill Redefined
Lotus continues to redefine the mid-engine premium sports car with the Emira, a British sports car that combines striking aerodynamics with class-leading ride and handling, catering to drivers who demand pure engagement. Sculpted lines, a wide stance and a low-slung cabin give the Lotus Emira the exotic presence of a modern supercar. At the same time, practical detailing and refined manners keep it usable every day.
Lotus now reveals the Emira V6 SE alongside the updated Emira Turbo and Turbo SE, introducing fresh Eos Green and Purple Haze metallic paint options, as well as further cooling and transmission optimisation across the range. The Emira V6 SE channels the brand’s “For The Drivers” ethos through a supercharged 3.5-litre V6 that delivers 400 hp, launches from 0–62 mph in 4.3 seconds and pairs with a six-speed manual gearbox and limited-slip differential, or an optional automatic. Engineers install a new compression mount for crisper shifts, and revise the damper calibration with a tweaked wheel alignment, sharpening comfort and cornering precision. The Tour suspension suits daily roads, while the stiffer Sport setting elevates dynamism, both backed by hydraulic steering renowned for its detailed feedback.
The Lotus Emira V6 SE is finished in Zinc Grey as standard, and it comes with exclusive badging, a full Black Pack, 20-inch forged alloys, red brake callipers, and an Alcantara-lined cockpit with sport pedals. Owners choose from 15 exterior colours, seven interior themes, four calliper finishes and eight wheel designs, creating a bespoke Lotus Emira from £96,500.
Across the lineup, rerouted coolant lines reduce weight and increase flow to the transmission oil cooler and central radiator. The conditioning now maintains cabin temperature more stably in extreme heat, and a higher-opening thermostat enhances performance under load. Lotus also recalibrates the dual-clutch transmission for quicker, smoother shifts.
Every Lotus Emira comes equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems, including Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Fatigue Detection. The optional Extended Co-Driver Pack adds Adaptive Cruise Control, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Door Opening Warning, and High Beam Assist, all of which are adjustable through an intuitive menu.
The Emira Turbo introduces enthusiasts to the range, starting from £79,500, which harnesses a 4-cylinder twin-scroll turbo engine and an eight-speed DCT from AMG, enabling it to sprint to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds. Tour and Sport modes, double wishbones, an integrated rear spoiler, and electro-hydraulic steering preserve the signature Lotus agility, while 12-way electric seats, a 190-watt audio system, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ensure modern comfort. Optional Convenience, Extended Co-Driver and Extended Lower Black packs further tailor function and style, complemented by Turbo badges, yellow-black Lotus emblems and satin silver accents.
For extra flair, the new Racing Line option for Turbo SE and V6 SE features a slim lower pinstripe, matching mirror caps and brake callipers in yellow, red, or silver, along with high-gloss black wheels, bespoke badges, and accent stitching inside.
Artisans hand-build the Emira at the historic Hethel facility, where Lotus has produced sports cars since 1966. Cutting-edge methods now raise both quality and efficiency. The result expresses Lotus’ “For The Drivers” mentality, proving that heritage and innovation can drive as one.
