McLaren Artura 1000GP by MSO Celebrates F1 Milestone

McLaren Automotive reveals the McLaren Artura 1000GP by MSO, a special edition that celebrates McLaren Racing's 1000th Formula 1 Grand Prix start at the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix.

The exterior draws inspiration from the distinctive livery McLaren applied to the MCL40, which was driven by McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in Monaco.

MSO has curated this limited-edition Artura and created a bespoke exterior livery that honours the journey behind the achievement. The design reflects the perseverance of a team that faced challenges directly, grew stronger through adversity and kept pushing forward with the mindset that has always defined McLaren.

β€œThe same mindset at McLaren has always shaped racing and road cars, and the McLaren Artura 1000GP by MSO celebrates that shared foundation. It reflects the environment Bruce created - an environment built on collective ambition, engineering excellence and a unified approach to progress. Through this shared purpose, our teams continue to craft vehicles that carry his spirit forward. The McLaren Artura 1000GP by MSO is a testament to that legacy and offers our clients a meaningful connection to the MCL40 in a milestone moment.” Nick Collins, Chief Executive Officer, McLaren Group Holdings

MSO's experienced craftspeople apply the 1000GP graphic across the Artura's bonnet, lower body sides and wing mirror casings. A contrasting pinstripe detail on the front splitter and rear diffuser draws on McLaren's heritage liveries, completing the design. Inside, a dedication plaque in a bespoke metallic papaya colour marks McLaren Racing's exceptional achievement.

The McLaren story began in 1963, when Bruce McLaren founded his own team with a small independent crew and a clear philosophy: move quickly, work closely and build better. More than sixty years later, that same mindset continues to shape the business today.

McLaren Racing will become only the second team to reach 1,000 Formula 1 Grand Prix starts. Across that time, the team has secured 10 Constructors' World Championship titles and won more than 200 races. This special Artura pays tribute to every race and the teamwork that made the milestone possible.
