McLaren W1 Leads Monterey Showcase With 750S Le Mans Debut
On Saturday, 16 August, the McLaren W1 takes centre stage at Exotics on Broadway during Monterey Car Week, marking its first public appearance in the Americas. McLaren will display the limited-run 750S Le Mans and a bespoke ‘States of Endurance’ Artura Spider alongside the hybrid flagship, giving supercar enthusiasts a rare triple treat.
“Monterey Car Week is always a great opportunity for us to engage with clients, prospects and enthusiasts alike. To that end, we’re thrilled to take the McLaren W1 to ‘Exotics on Broadway,’ where fans will be able to see it on display for the first time publicly in the Americas. The W1 is a very special supercar, tied to McLaren’s World Championship mindset in Formula 1. The 750S Le Mans and the ‘States of Endurance’ Artura Spider both also tie into McLaren’s storied motorsports history. We’re looking forward to enthusiasts of the brand seeing all three of these special cars.” Nicolas Brown, President, McLaren, The Americas.
The W1, unveiled globally in October 2024, succeeds the iconic McLaren F1 and P1, opening a bold new chapter in the coveted ‘1’ lineage. It’s 1,275 PS V8-hybrid powertrain—McLaren’s most potent to date—propels the car past 300 km/h faster than a Speedtail and laps the company’s reference circuit three seconds quicker than a Senna, setting fresh performance benchmarks for road-legal hypercars.
Making its American bow, the 750S Le Mans celebrates the 30th anniversary of McLaren’s 24 Hours of Le Mans triumph. Offered in Le Mans Grey or McLaren Orange, the coupe sports a roof scoop, five-spoke LM wheels and an MSO High Downforce Kit. The carbon-fibre splitter, raised active rear spoiler, and sculpted under-wing panel lift downforce by ten per cent, echoing the legendary F1 LM while sharpening track capability.
The weekend also launches ‘States of Endurance’, a coast-to-coast tribute to that 1995 victory. One Artura Spider, wrapped to capture the daytime phase of a 24-hour race, joins two uniquely liveried 750S supercars—one at dawn, the other at night—on the 2,400-mile drive from Monterey to Miami, with fan engagements punctuating the journey across the United States.
