The Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé interior blends sports car DNA with Gran Turismo comfort. Designers built the cabin around the driving experience. The low seating position places the driver deep within the vehicle and immediately creates the focused and emotional sensation familiar from models such as the two-door Mercedes-AMG GT. The operating concept supports intuitive control of key driving functions. This design keeps attention where it belongs, on the road and the driving experience.
A central highlight of the cabin sits in the centre console. Three rotary controls allow drivers to adjust key aspects of driving dynamics within seconds. These controls influence response, slip and cornering behaviour. Each control combines key vehicle parameters to give experienced drivers precise control and strong driving engagement.
The Response Control dial manages how the electric motors respond to accelerator inputs. The Agility Control rotary control adjusts agility around the vertical axis and influences cornering behaviour. The Traction Control rotary control manages slip and allows the traction control system to intervene in nine stages.
Engineers integrate these functions into a coordinated hardware-and-software system called AMG RACE ENGINEER. The three rotary controls form the AMG RACE ENGINEER Control Unit and provide direct access to the vehicle’s central control systems. Drivers can tailor the car’s driving dynamics precisely to their driving style and the current road conditions. The driver-oriented layout and tactile controls support intuitive operation. Their design also reflects the distinctive chain-link appearance of the air vents.
The driver-focused cockpit reinforces the performance character of the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé. The instrument panel centres around a wide display that divides into a driver-focused area and a slightly offset passenger section. The driver displays a 10.2-inch instrument cluster with a 14-inch multimedia monitor to form a seamless digital unit.
The 14-inch multimedia display angles towards the driver to improve readability and ease of use. Customers can also specify a separate 14-inch passenger display that shows independent content. This screen allows the front passenger to take part in the digital driving experience.
Large circular air vents with a distinctive chain-link design are set into the glass surface on both sides of the dashboard. These vents form part of the ambient lighting system and illuminate in selectable colours at night. Galvanised air vents combine a solid metal appearance with a modern high-tech aesthetic. This design links the digital displays with analogue craftsmanship.
The centre console combines striking design with everyday practicality. Its angle follows the orientation of the central display. The console integrates an armrest with a closed storage compartment and two wireless charging trays for inductive charging of smartphones. Designers separate two illuminated cup holders from the charging area to improve usability. A wing-shaped metal element rises three-dimensionally at the front of the console and surrounds the housing for the central air vent unit. The simple nozzle design contrasts with the large outer air vents on the instrument panel.
The newly developed front seats support dynamic driving with pronounced lateral bolsters. The seats combine expressive design with strong support during cornering. Optional AMG Performance seats add integrated head restraints and an even sportier appearance. Their distinctive seatbacks emphasise the lightweight design inspired by motorsport. Two backrest openings with galvanised inserts underline the performance character and highlight the lightweight construction.
Customers can choose from several equipment concepts with carefully selected colours and trim materials. These options offer a high degree of personalisation and satisfy demanding expectations. The wide selection of seat upholstery ranges from performance-focused materials to comfort-oriented finishes.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé also offers the exclusive MANUFAKTUR programme. This programme allows customers to select unique colours, materials and handcrafted surfaces for greater individuality.
The AMG Performance steering wheel features a flat bottom section and an ergonomically shaped rim. It includes roller and rocker switches that allow precise operation. Customers can choose steering wheel finishes ranging from fine leather to lightweight carbon fibre or non-slip MICROCUT microfibre. Steering wheel paddles allow precise control of energy recuperation and give the driver direct control.
Two round AMG steering wheel buttons include colour LCDs and modern icons. Drivers can adjust key vehicle functions and select driving programmes quickly without looking away from the road. The driver operates the buttons by turning the adjustment ring or pressing the display surface. The display within each button shows the selected setting exactly where the driver needs it.
The rear seating area provides standard comfort for two passengers. Two sculpted seats offer generous legroom through floor recesses that create a natural knee angle. Rear passengers benefit from an upright seating position and generous headroom. An optional three-seat bench increases practicality. In both layouts, the rear backrests fold down individually to increase luggage flexibility.
A panoramic glass roof enhances the sense of space inside the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé. The single-piece glass panel extends to the rear window, creating a wide view of the sky. Drivers can switch the glass between transparent and opaque settings. The system divides the roof into individually controllable segments, allowing occupants to choose how much light enters the cabin.
At night, the panoramic roof becomes a visual highlight. Illuminated AMG emblems appear above the driver and front passenger, while racing-inspired stripes extend across the roof surface. These lights shine in colours that match the vehicle’s ambient lighting.
The roof uses laminated safety glass with heat-insulating properties as standard. An infrared-reflective coating and an ultra-thin LowE coating reduce heat buildup during summer. In winter, the LowE coating reflects heat into the cabin, improving comfort. Some markets also offer a carbon-look ultra-lightweight roof for drivers who prioritise performance.
Ambient lighting enhances comfort and atmosphere inside the cabin. A continuous light strip runs along the upper instrument panel, casting soft illumination throughout the interior. The lighting also connects the dashboard to the doors, creating a unified visual effect.
Passengers can select high-resolution ambient lighting themes that act as visual backgrounds for the displays. The instrument cluster, control elements and ambient lighting coordinate their colour schemes with these themes. This system allows occupants to create their own personalised atmosphere within the vehicle. The display graphics combine refined aesthetics with precision and intuitive operation.
The door design continues the interior's elegant theme. Floating armrests give the door panels a clean and modern appearance. Designers integrate key controls, such as window switches, directly into the pull handle structure. The centre door panel features flowing diamond quilting inspired by historic racing design.
The seat adjustment control appears as a miniature seat and sits within the diamond quilt pattern above the armrest. Horizontal speaker surrounds integrate seamlessly into the design and maintain high standards of quality and precision. In vehicles equipped with the Burmester 3D sound system, these speaker covers use polished stainless steel to deliver both visual appeal and impressive audio performance.
The Mercedes-Benz User Experience infotainment system plays a central role in the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé interior. The interface delivers an emotional and intuitive user experience. The system runs on the new Mercedes-Benz Operating System, also known as MB.OS. This software-to-cloud architecture intelligently reconnects and manages all control units and vehicle functionality.
Drivers can choose from several newly developed display styles that personalise the digital cockpit. The AMG Special style offers four sub-screens tailored to performance driving. The AMG TRACK PACE display presents telemetry data, acceleration figures and race information depending on the driving situation. A Classic display style provides a more traditional layout and includes submenus for information such as energy consumption and navigation.
