Mercedes-Benz VLE: Electric Luxury Redefined
With the all-new electric Mercedes-Benz VLE, Mercedes-Benz opens a new era for luxury electric travel. The brand developed the VLE on its new modular, flexible and scalable Van Architecture and created a fully reimagined grand limousine. The Mercedes-Benz VLE combines limousine comfort and handling with the space, versatility, and flexibility of an MPV. It also uses the intelligent Mercedes-Benz Operating System, or MB.OS, to deliver a smarter digital experience. Its efficient drivetrain, 800-volt technology and high-performance charging make it a strong choice for every journey.
The design matches the generous interior. The Mercedes-Benz VLE elevates the familiar “Welcome home” feeling to a new level and offers up to eight people greater comfort, more flexibility, and a richer digital experience. A new AIRMATIC suspension with level control makes every trip feel calm and composed. Rear-axle steering also gives the electric VLE impressive agility, so it handles narrow lanes and multi-storey car parks with ease.
“The all-new electric VLE marks the next significant milestone in our successful 140-year automotive history. Shaped by our pioneering spirit, it redefines space and comfort, adding a new level of versatility and innovation. It also offers a class-leading range of more than 700 km. The VLE is the first model to be built on the new Van Architecture, designed to meet a wide range of customer needs and adapt to any lifestyle.”
Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Board of Management, Mercedes-Benz Group AG
The new Mercedes-Benz VLE redefines the grand limousine in practical ways. Its low, streamlined silhouette and distinctive design create strong visual appeal and help it cut through the air with a drag coefficient of just 0.25. Inside, owners can arrange seating for up to eight people with impressive flexibility. Manual Roll & Go seats use four integrated wheels, so owners can move them back and forth with ease, lock them in place or remove them and roll them into the garage. Electrically adjustable seats add even more convenience, as users can move them through the app or head unit with Remote Variable Rear Space.
Mercedes-Benz also developed new seats that let customers choose the right mix of style and comfort. Buyers can configure the new mechanical and electric individual seats and benches in several ways. The standout option is the electric Grand Comfort Seat, which adds an extra pillow, wireless charging, lumbar support, a massage function and calf support.
The rear cabin turns travel into entertainment. Above the front seats, Mercedes-Benz integrates a retractable 79-centimetre (31.3-inch) panoramic screen with 8K resolution, split-screen functionality, and an eight-megapixel camera. Passengers can use it for films, music videos, games, or video conferences, giving the MBUX Rear Space Experience a clear edge.
The ride quality strengthens the premium feel. AIRMATIC air suspension with 40 mm of level control keeps the car smooth and settled, while seven-degree rear-axle steering helps the VLE stay agile. This setup gives the Mercedes-Benz VLE a remarkably tight curb-to-curb turning circle of just 10.9 metres.
Range and charging also support long-distance comfort. The electric VLE offers more than 700 kilometres of WLTP range. On longer trips, drivers can recharge the battery to deliver up to 355 kilometres of WLTP range in just 15 minutes. Mercedes-Benz achieves this with 800-volt technology and a new battery with a usable energy content of 115 kWh.

The cabin adds another highlight with the Sky View panoramic roof. The expansive glass roof creates a stronger sense of space, freedom, and calm, while ambient lighting lends it real drama. Passengers can relax and enjoy the view, and an electric sunblind shields the interior from strong sunlight when needed.
MB.OS brings advanced digital intelligence to the Mercedes-Benz VLE, making the driving experience more personal and intuitive. The latest MBUX system supports natural control, while the MBUX Virtual Assistant uses multi-agent generative AI to understand complex conversations, remember context and respond like an informed friend. Over-the-air updates also keep the electric MPV up to date and add new features without sending customers to a dealer.
The digital cockpit adds another layer of premium with the MBUX Superscreen. Mercedes-Benz places three displays behind one large glass surface: a 26-centimetre, 10.25-inch driver display, a 35.6-centimetre, 14-inch central display, and a 35.6-centimetre, 14-inch front passenger display. The driver gets clear, relevant information, while the front passenger enjoys personalised entertainment such as video streaming, gaming and apps.
Driver assistance technology makes everyday driving easier, too. Distance Assist DISTRONIC comes as standard. Buyers can also choose MB.DRIVE ASSIST for semi-autonomous motorway steering and an advanced Lane Change Assist. Just flick the indicator and let the grand limousine take care of the manoeuvre.
