CS800DH Mustang: 788bhp British Dark Horse Upgrade

London specialist Clive Sutton has unleashed the CS800DH Mustang, a 788 bhp evolution of the Ford Mustang Dark Horse that ranks among the UK’s most potent, comprehensively enhanced Mustangs. Engineers install a Ford Performance 3.0-litre Whipple supercharger, lifting the five-litre V8’s output by 76 percent—from 447 bhp to 788 bhp at 6,700 rpm—and boosting torque by 61 percent to 642 lb-ft at 4,750 rpm. They pair the uprated engine with a Borla ATAK quad-tip exhaust and custom H-pipe, ensuring a visceral soundtrack while retaining full compatibility with every factory drive mode.

Bespoke carbon-fibre additions sharpen aerodynamics and stance: a 1,580 mm raised rear wing, a larger diffuser, a double-sided bonnet, a deep front splitter, and elongated side skirts all work with lowered, stiffened suspension and lightweight Vossen wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres. Inside, an MGW short-throw racing shifter heightens engagement, while adjustable Recaro sports seats offer heating and cooling for year-round comfort.

“Our customers love the Mustang and consistently turn to us to unleash its full performance capability, alongside accessing our suite of distinctive exterior and interior enhancements. With 780 bhp, the full Ford Performance warranty, a glorious supercharger whine and our bespoke exhaust, there’s nothing like the CS800DH Mustang!” declares founder and CEO Clive Sutton.

Every modification follows Ford Performance guidelines, so the standard three-year/36,000-mile warranty remains intact. Sutton adds a parallel three-year/36,000-mile cover for all upgrades, giving buyers complete peace of mind. Clients may further tailor the cabin with complete re-trim options in leather or Alcantara, colouring everything from headlining to steering wheel. At the same time, the Recaro seats integrate seamlessly with existing climate controls.

Priced between £135,000 and £165,000, the CS800DH Mustang makes its public debut at Salon Privé, Blenheim Palace, from 27–31 August, sharing the spotlight with a new ’67 Mustang GT500CS, the VIP Mercedes-Benz V-Class, and the 2025 Cadillac Escalade.
