Pecco Bagnaia Tests Lamborghini Temerario HPEV Supercar
Francesco ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia stands at the pinnacle of Grand Prix motorcycle racing. He has clinched three World Championships, including the 2022 and 2023 MotoGP titles, alongside 40 victories and 78 podiums aboard his Ducati Desmosedici GP. The number 63 on his bike echoes Lamborghini’s founding year of 1963, creating a natural bond between the Turin-born rider and the legendary Italian marque.
A lifelong admirer of the super-sports cars from Sant’Agata Bolognese, Bagnaia leapt at the chance to pilot the new Lamborghini Temerario High Performance Electrified Vehicle. Engineers paired its twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors, letting the hybrid drivetrain spin freely to a staggering 10,000 rpm.
Bagnaia likened the sensation to riding a MotoGP machine that never stops pulling: “I’d never felt anything like it. Rather than a turbo, it almost feels like it has a naturally aspirated engine with an enhanced intake. Reaching 10,000 rpm is incredible. I was astounded not only by that, but also by how easy it is to drive. It makes for a stunning combination.”
The Temerario unleashes 920 CV, surging from 0–100 km/h in a blistering 2.7 seconds and hitting 200 km/h in 7.1 seconds before charging on to a 343 km/h top speed. Bagnaia praised both its raw pace and its approachable handling, qualities that mirror the relentless yet controllable character of a premier-class race bike, uniting two worlds of Italian performance excellence.
