Porsche 911 Carrera Reimagined by Singer Thrills Goodwood

Singer, the California luxury specialist renowned for Porsche 911 restorations, unveils its latest service—the Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer—while celebrating delivery of its 500th car at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Rob Dickinson, Singer’s Founder, Executive Chairman and Creative Director, notes, “Singer first came to the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2015, we fell in love with it, and we’ve been coming back ever since. For 2025, we’ve brought two Porsche 911 Carrera Coupes Reimagined by Singer with us. One will make its dynamic debut on the Hillclimb, and the other will be on display outside the Stable Yard. This year, we also passed the milestone of 500 cars in total restored and delivered back to their owners through our Classic, Classic Turbo and DLS services since Singer was founded. Our tenth year at Goodwood is the perfect place to celebrate these milestones.”

Each commission starts when an owner sends a Porsche 911 (Type 964) to Singer for a fully bespoke restoration. Technicians strip the car to its steel monocoque, evaluate and prepare the chassis, then apply composite and steel reinforcement developed with Red Bull Advanced Technologies to maximise rigidity before the rebuild begins. Skilled leatherworkers devote 400 hours to creating stitched and burnished seams, derived from high-end luxury goods, which are then paired with materials such as the Celeste Passalacqua example, featuring Mars Pink velvet corduroy, or its Giallo Segnale counterpart, which features Interferenza cloth in Black.

Singer’s 4.0-litre flat-six, engineered with Cosworth, introduces variable valve timing, water-cooled heads and an electric fan to a naturally aspirated 911 for the first time. The result delivers 420 bhp, a broad torque curve, and an 8,000 rpm redline, all channelled through a six-speed manual gearbox. Owners may specify a raised, exposed shift mechanism and a lightweight titanium exhaust to heighten mechanical engagement. Dickinson says, “In the 1980s, you could order a new 911 Carrera with the pumped-up bodywork of the Turbo but powered by the company’s latest, naturally aspirated flat six. It became known as the Carrera with Super Sport Equipment. Our services reference this car and celebrate the era with a vision for an ultimate, naturally aspirated, G model 911, reimagined for the twenty-first century. At its heart is a remarkable flat-six, bringing together our learnings from the last fifteen years, and adding variable valve timing for the first time.”

Carbon-fibre bodywork, also inspired by the period Super Sport Equipment, keeps weight low and stiffness high. Customers may choose a fixed rear wing or a speed-activated alternative, while a deep front spoiler and fender intakes optimise airflow and engine cooling. Four-way electronically adjustable dampers, a nose-lift system, centre-lock 18-inch wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport tyres combine to offer road, sport, track, off-road, and weather modes that tailor traction and stability control.

Inside, clients select bespoke paint, leather, and materials, specify lightweight sports or track seats, and enjoy hand-built gauges that echo the high standards of watchmaking. One touring-focused specification features a Celeste Passalacqua carbon-fibre bodywork, paired with a speed-activated wing, Mars Pink cabin highlights, and connectivity features. A sport-oriented build pairs Giallo Segnale bodywork with a fixed wing, auxiliary driving lights, lightweight track seats, and an interior finished in Black with Interferenza cloth. Owners may even request both body styles, supplied in a dedicated flight case, to switch configurations as they wish.

Singer will accept only 100 commissions for the Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer, with the price dependent on each owner’s requirements. An expanding Global Partner Network across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australasia ensures that Singer’s discerning clientele receive world-class support throughout specification, restoration and ownership.
