Porsche Macan Electric GTS: UK-spec Performance SUV Revealed
GTS has carried special weight with Porsche fans since the 904 Carrera GTS of 1963, and for the first time, an all-electric Macan wears the badge. The new Porsche Macan Electric GTS joins the electric SUV line with sharp driving dynamics and serious pace. It sprints from 0 to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds, reaches 124 mph in 13.3 seconds, and runs on to a top speed limited to 155 mph.
Like the Macan Electric Turbo, the Macan Electric GTS uses the most powerful rear-axle electric motor in the series. The unit measures 230 millimetres in diameter, has an active length of 210 mm, and works with a highly efficient 900-amp silicon carbide pulse inverter. The Macan GTS delivers 380 kW, rising to 420 kW with Launch Control overboost, and a maximum torque of 955 Nm. As on the Macan Turbo, a 9.0:1 transmission ratio handles the substantial torque of these performance models.
You can cover up to 363 miles on the combined WLTP cycle. At a suitable rapid charger, the 100 kWh high-voltage battery charges from 10 to 80 per cent in 21 minutes with a peak of 270 kW, making long electric SUV journeys simpler and quicker.
Porsche fits the Sport Chrono Package as standard and expands it with the Taycan’s track mode, which prepares the car for sustained high-performance driving. The mode boosts battery cooling to reduce heat-related power loss, often referred to as the derating effect, allowing the Macan GTS to maintain stronger performance under continuous load.
The chassis delivers authentic sports-car responses through rear-biased weight distribution, a low centre of gravity, and intelligent power management. Fast-reacting electronic Porsche Traction Management governs all-wheel drive, and standard Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus utilises an electronically controlled differential lock mounted directly behind the rear motor to enhance traction and agility, thereby helping to achieve a 48:52 rear bias. Engineers gave the Macan GTS the lowest centre of gravity in the range and refined the sports air suspension with level control and Porsche Active Suspension Management. A 10 mm lower ride height, model-specific damper tuning and revised anti-roll bars sharpen agility and cornering precision, while optional rear-axle steering can add further stability and response.
The Macan GTS's emotive side extends to its sound. Porsche Electric Sport Sound provides two exclusive GTS-specific profiles, each with a distinct character in the ‘Sport’ and ‘Sport Plus’ modes. A standard BOSE® Surround Sound system backs this up with 14 loudspeakers, including a subwoofer, 14 amplifier channels and a total output of 710 watts.
The exterior stands out with black styling accents and exclusive side skirts. Tinted Matrix LED headlights, firm contours above the air blades, and black-painted details at the front, sides, and rear underline the GTS identity. From early 2026, Porsche will roll out a new Sport Design Package for all Macan models. The Macan GTS receives it first as standard, with extra GTS-specific touches. Contrast elements, including inserts, side blades, wheel arch trims, and the adaptive rear spoiler lip, are finished in black. Redesigned side skirts widen towards the rear for a more purposeful look. The lower rear section features black trim and a pronounced diffuser, complemented by tinted taillights that match the headlights. Standard 21-inch Macan Design alloy wheels in Anthracite Grey fill the arches, with optional 22-inch RS Spyder Design wheels in the same finish available for added presence.
New colours arrive with the Macan GTS. The GTS-typical Carmine Red returns, and Lugano Blue appears on a Macan for the first time. Alongside 15 Configurator shades, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur offers nearly 60 additional Paint-to-Sample colours for deeper personalisation.
Inside, the focus remains on sport. Extended Race-Tex upholstery pairs with black smooth leather. Race-Tex covers the rim of the heated multifunction GT Sports steering wheel as well as the centre console armrest, door panels and dashboard. The centre panels of the adaptive 18-way Sports Seats feature Race-Tex, while the bolsters and headrests are made of smooth leather for added durability and support.
For the first time on the Macan Electric, you can coordinate interior and exterior with the optional GTS Interior Package. Choose Carmine Red, Slate Grey Neo or Lugano Blue to match the paint. The contrasting decorative stitching on the seats, steering wheel, door panels, and upper dashboard follows the chosen colour, as do the seatbelts and the ‘GTS’ seat script. The steering wheel also gains a badge with colour-matched ‘GTS’ lettering. The package includes the Carbon Interior Package, which adds carbon-fibre trim to the steering wheel, dashboard, and door panels for a motorsport-inspired finish.
The digital cockpit continues the GTS theme, and the central display shows a 3D visual of the car in its actual exterior colour, while the instrument cluster carries ‘GTS’ lettering. Standard Sport Chrono functions, such as lap timing, telemetry recording, and sector analysis, are available in an app on the central display for easy access on track days.
Latest model-year updates bring fresh assistance, comfort, and entertainment features. You can now add Porsche Digital Key alongside the physical key, use new parking assistance systems, and speak to the AI-supported Voice Pilot. In-car gaming expands the entertainment offering, and towing capacity rises to a maximum of 2,500 kg, broadening the Macan Electric GTS's appeal to UK drivers.
The new Porsche Macan Electric GTS is now on sale at Porsche Centres in the UK and Ireland, priced from £89,000.00 RRP. It combines high performance, a long WLTP range, rapid 270 kW charging, and everyday electric SUV usability.
