Segway Unveils New E-bikes and Xaber 300 at CES 2026

Segway, a global leader in micromobility and light electric vehicles, has introduced an expanded electric bicycle lineup at CES in the North Hall, booth 9615. The launch includes two new electric bikes, Myon and Muxi, plus an all-new electric dirt bike called Xaber 300.

"We believe our new e-bikes represent a leap forward in terms of the rider experience", said Nick Howe, head of e-bikes.

Segway designed the new Myon and Muxi e-bikes for a wider market than Xyber and Xafari, the brand’s debut e-bikes revealed at last year’s CES. Myon and Muxi build on Segway’s smart technology suite and add features and accessories that integrate seamlessly with each e-bike to improve the rider experience. Segway also promises a new level of customisation and modularity across the lineup.

Myon and Muxi use Segway’s Intelligent Ride System. It includes security features such as Apple Find My and AirLock, which enable proximity-based locking and unlocking. It also adds a new Lost Mode* that lets users remotely turn off the e-bike and/or the battery if it is stolen. The system supports Over-the-Air (OTA) updates for six systems and includes a full-colour, HD TFT display. It also features an intelligent lighting system with automatic headlights and real-time health and fitness data syncing in the app. Segway’s upgraded Algorithm 2.0 uses advanced sensors and ultra-fast processing to refine adaptive assist and apply power gradually to match rider input. This approach delivers a smoother, more natural pedal feel and response, without jerky starts or dead zones.

"For people who aren't already cyclists, e-bikes can seem confusing or intimidating. The technologies we're integrating are designed to lower the barrier to entry and make cycling genuinely accessible for everyone. Technology should make things simpler, not the other way around," said Nick Howe, head of e-bike at Segway. "And with technology that combines Segway's original innovations with safety and convenience features inspired by the automotive industry, we believe our new e-bikes represent a leap forward in terms of the rider experience."

Segway has also introduced new e-bike accessories, sold separately, for both Myon and Muxi. These include the Xiro Dropper Post, available March 2026 for $229.99, and Rearview Radar, on sale soon for $99.99. Segway calls Xiro an industry first. It senses when riders slow to a stop and lowers automatically, helping them put both feet down for stability and mount or dismount more easily. Rearview Radar brings blind-spot awareness to e-bikes. It mounts on the rear of the e-bike and uses millimetre wave radar to detect the location, velocity and angle of objects with high accuracy. It then delivers real-time audio and visual alerts that riders can customise in the app. Xiro and Rearview Radar integrate with the e-bike’s electronics and do not need separate charging. Other compatible accessories include an e-Bike Front Basket for $99.99 in January, an e-Bike Mirror for $29.99 in March, and an Easy Clamp Phone Mount for $59.99.

Myon, the first new e-bike in the lineup, goes on sale today at store.segway.com and through Segway dealers nationwide. Segway positions Myon as a commuter and leisure electric bike that blends classic style with the brand's sleek, modern look. Riders can select Class 1, 2 or 3 settings. Myon includes Segway’s proprietary electronic shifting paired with a 9-speed Shimano CUES drivetrain, TurboTuned™ motor optimisation, and the Intelligent Ride System for security, safety and convenience. Myon also supports an optional Removable Toptube accessory for $99.99 in January. It converts the bike from a step-through to a traditional diamond frame, changes the look, improves torsional rigidity, and supports additional accessories, including frame bags up to 11 pounds.

"We designed Myon to be an everyday bike for every type of rider," said Howe. "It's equally at home on a daily city commute as it is on a pleasure cruise along the coast or in the countryside."

Segway’s electronic shifting approach uses intuitive + and - buttons on a handlebar-mounted control module. The buttons connect to a proprietary servo control unit mounted near the rear derailleur. A traditional shift cable links the derailleur to the control unit, keeping the system compatible with most standard rear derailleurs while minimising cable length to reduce wear, stretch, and maintenance. Riders can fine-tune shifting in the app through an interface that requires no mechanical skill or knowledge. The e-bike battery powers the system, so riders do not need to charge extra components. The system can also receive OTA updates that can improve e-shift performance and add features and upgrades over time.

TurboTuned™ focuses on optimising motor and battery performance and efficiency. It works with Algorithm 2.0 to keep every powertrain component in sync, delivering refined, effortless performance that goes beyond raw power. Ultra-precise sensors, physics-based algorithms, multi-sensor inputs including torque, cadence, and gyroscope data, and an Inertial Measurement Unit continuously adjust power to suit terrain and rider needs. Segway says this system delivers stronger performance than Myon’s 500-watt rating suggests under demanding conditions, while preserving a natural feel and conserving power to increase range and efficiency when demand is lower. Myon offers up to 80 miles of range and peak torque of 85 Nm. Segway positions TurboTuned™ as more than motor and battery size alone.

Myon retails for $1,999.99 and is available now at store.segway.com and through official Segway e-bike dealers in the US.

Muxi, pronounced "moo-shee", is Segway’s new short-tail electric bike that aims to blend utility and versatility with fun in a stylish, compact design. Segway pairs retro character with modern features, emphasising a low stand-over height and an upright, comfortable riding position. Segway designed Muxi to support personalisation through a suite of optional accessories that expand capacity and functionality. A Passenger Kit for $199.99 in March includes a seat, foot pegs, and wheel guards, and allows riders to carry a passenger up to 120 pounds. A Middle Basket for $29.99 in March adds extra cargo space, and Fenders for $79.99 in March help riders stay clean and dry when roads turn wet. Segway includes a fold-down cupholder as standard.

"I'm really excited about Muxi," said Howe. "It blends the laidback comfort of a beach cruiser with the stability of a Dutch cargo bike. If Myon is an everyday sedan, Muxi is the cool, fun, surf van you take to the beach with all your friends."

Muxi offers selectable Class 1 or 2 settings and uses a single-speed drivetrain paired with a direct-drive motor to keep operation simple. Segway includes features designed to improve safety and stability, especially when riders carry extra cargo. These features include Hill Start Assist to prevent rollback when starting on an incline, Hill Descent Control to enable confident descent and reduce brake wear, and Regenerative Braking to improve efficiency. Muxi also includes a Traction Control System (TCS) that detects wheel spin and modulates power to help riders maintain control. Segway pairs these features with the Intelligent Ride System smart technology suite for security and convenience, which helps make Muxi feel as modern as it is practical.

Muxi will retail for $1,699.99 and will be available in March 2026 at store.segway.com and through official Segway e-bike dealers in the US.

Segway is also introducing the Xaber 300, pronounced say-br, as an all-new electric dirt bike on display at CES. Segway drew inspiration from the X1000 prototype that competed in the Future Mission 1000 category of the 2025 Dakar Rally's experimental low-emissions vehicle class. Segway built Xaber 300 from the ground up to deliver high-performance off-road electric riding.

"This marks another major step forward in Segway's strategy to broaden its electric mobility portfolio and make high-performance electric transportation and recreation accessible to riders of all lifestyles," said Howe.

Segway plans to bring the innovative technology it uses in its light electric vehicles to the Xaber 300, despite the Xaber 300's performance-oriented off-road focus. Three power modes let riders choose among 150, 200, and 300cc equivalents, making it feel like three bikes in one and reducing the need to upgrade as skills develop. Segway will include a virtual electronic clutch that simulates a mechanical clutch to deliver familiar control for motorcycle enthusiasts in dynamic off-road conditions. A selectable Traction Control System (TCS) will offer settings for different terrain. Riders will also be able to set the maximum wheelie angle in the app for skill progression. Segway positions this as a novel application of gyroscopic sensor technology developed through its experience with self-balancing vehicles. The app will also include parental controls, such as speed limits and geofencing. Segway says Xaber 300 will deliver a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio of 24.7 per cent. Segway will back key components with a two-year warranty for the battery, motor and frame, and a one-year warranty for the complete bike.

"We've always been a technology-forward company pushing the boundaries of light electric vehicles in efficiency, performance and smart features," said Howe. "We're excited to introduce an evolution of that innovation, extending beyond transportation solutions to offer a truly thrilling, electric, off-road experience for enthusiasts."

Segway will share full details and specifications closer to launch. Xaber 300 will retail for $5,299.99 and will be available Spring and Summer 2026 at store.segway.com and through official Segway dealers in the US.

Segway also says it remains a leader in micromobility technology, the "Global No. 1 Brand in Electric Kickscooter Sales," with more than 15 million units sold worldwide to date. Last year, Segway introduced its third-generation electric scooter lineup, which it describes as its most diverse and advanced range to date. It includes compact folding commuter models such as the E3 Series, the flagship Max G3, and the high-performance GT3 series SuperScooters. Segway also introduced integrated smart technologies across the third-generation lineup, including SegRange range optimisation, SegRide stability enhancement and SegSmart integrated smart cockpit and display interfaces.

Segway says it will continue to innovate in electric scooters and micromobility while using its experience to grow and disrupt the e-bike market. Segway states that its mission is to keep people "simply moving." Trusted by over 29 million riders worldwide, Segway says it turns self-developed technologies into seamless, intuitive experiences that elevate how people move.
