Twisted Reveals Hyperion Blue Land Rover Defender at Bridge X
Twisted Automotive, the British bespoke design house that reengineers classic automotive icons, will attend The Bridge X for the first time.
For this debut, Twisted will unveil two bespoke Land Rover Defender commissions.
The standout piece is a bespoke T110 finished in Hyperion Blue, an iconic shade once reserved for rare 1960s Ferraris and Maseratis. Applying such a delicate, emotive and historic supercar hue to the boxy, unapologetic silhouette of a classic Defender marks a bold world first for the brand, and it is designed to excite and intrigue American audiences.
"Taking a shade traditionally reserved for 1960s Italian supercars and draping it over a rugged, boxy British utility icon is unapologetically Twisted," said Phil Chapman, Twisted's Head of Brand. "Our philosophy has always been about rebellion. We take something raw, strip away its factory flaws and elevate it to an anti-ordinary standard. Bringing our obsession to the historic grounds of Bridgehampton for the very first time, and meeting US collectors face-to-face is a major milestone for our brand."
A Stirling Moss Blue T110 commission, destined for a US customer, will sit alongside the Hyperion Blue T110. Master technicians from the UK build team will attend the concours to answer detailed questions about what makes a Twisted so special.
Each commission on display represents 2,500 hours of meticulous, hand-crafted engineering. The build team strips every vehicle down to bare metal, rebuilds it from the chassis up, and scrutinises and aligns every nut, bolt and panel to uncompromising, factory-surpassing tolerances. Both models boast LT1 V8 powertrains.
Alongside the Defender builds, visitors to the Twisted display will see a detailed scale model of the company's next major US debut: the TRRC, Twisted's interpretation of the Range Rover Classic. This sneak peek aims to build anticipation ahead of its US debut later in the year.
The Bridge X takes place in Bridgehampton, New York, from 18 to 20 September 2026.
