Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Smashes Nürburgring Record for EV Saloons
The production Xiaomi SU7 Ultra saloon shattered the Nürburgring Nordschleife record for electric executive cars, covering the 20.8-kilometre circuit in 7:04.957 on its very first attempt with the optional track package. This achievement positions Xiaomi EV at the forefront of high-performance electric mobility and crowns the SU7 Ultra as the benchmark electric saloon. Xiaomi engineers reached this pace by applying extreme "three core electric technologies"—electric motor, power battery and motor control unit—alongside chassis torque-vectoring and a wind-cheating body. The production model mirrors the SU7 Ultra Prototype’s tri-motor layout, pairing two V8s with one V6s e-motor for a combined 1,548 PS. That output launches the car from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 1.98 seconds (with a one-foot rollout deduction) and propels it beyond 350 km/h.
The Nürburgring’s relentless gradients, compressions, and prolonged high-speed sections expose every weakness; yet, the SU7 Ultra handled the heat and sustained loads without compromise. By pushing the powertrain to its limits, Xiaomi EV has sharpened performance, reliability, and safety, ensuring that road customers enjoy track-validated engineering every day.
Deepening its commitment to innovation, Xiaomi EV has become a premium partner of the Nürburgring, secured membership of the circuit’s Industry Pool test programme and even lends its name to the newly christened "Xiaomi Curve" on the Grand Prix track. This collaboration will accelerate the development of next-generation electric technologies and reinforce Xiaomi’s ambition to redefine global performance standards.
