FORVIA HELLA Backs 2025 Pikes Peak With Porsche Duo Charge

FORVIA HELLA boosts brand awareness for its advanced HELLA brake systems by focusing on the 2025 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado. Drawing on original equipment expertise and a heritage of high-performance partnerships, the company will spotlight its technology during the 103rd Race to the Clouds. HELLA acts as the title sponsor of the Time Attack 1 Division and launches both the HELLA Hype Award and HELLA Heritage Award to honour teams and drivers who go the extra mile.

Rotek Racing fronts HELLA’s challenge with Robb Holland driving a 2022 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Cup in a bespoke HELLA livery. JRZ active dampers handle the rough public road to the 14,115-foot summit, while a Starlink link will livestream Holland’s full run, making him the first competitor to broadcast a complete attempt live. Holland, who set a front-wheel-drive record on his 2016 debut, relies on extensive touring-car experience and simulator training as he hunts the HELLA Time Attack 1 trophy.

A second Rotek-prepared entry, the 2023 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, pairs HELLA with veteran Clint Vahsholtz. Fresh from winning the 2025 Pirelli GT America and GT4 America titles, the Cayman will chase the Pikes Peak GT4 Trophy by Yokohama under HELLA colours. Vahsholtz, who began on stock cars and motorcycles in the early 1990s, owns 24 class victories on the Hill Climb and intends to extend that tally this June.

“The entire team at HELLA is excited to partner with the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb,” said Robert Tinson, Vice President at HELLA. “As HELLA celebrates more than 125 years of engineering excellence, we’re happy to share the same spirit of innovation, performance, and endurance exemplified by the 103rd running of The Race to the Clouds. In common with the organisers, drivers and teams, our company has pushed the limits of what’s possible from lighting and electronics to braking and beyond.”

The Time Attack 1 Division features close-bodied, production-based cars that retain original cylinder counts and drivetrain layouts. Porsche GT3 RS, GT2 RS Clubsport and 911 Turbo S models headline a field that also includes a Subaru Impreza WRX STI, BMW M2 CS Racing and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, all vying for HELLA’s podium trophies.

Fans can nominate their favourite driver for the HELLA Hype Award, with final online voting at Fan Fest on Friday, 20 June. The winner receives the accolade and a $2,000 prize from HELLA Vice-President Rob Tinson. Tinson will also present the HELLA Heritage Award and an additional $2,000 to the competitor with the most Pikes Peak finishes, capping a weekend that showcases HELLA brake systems, motorsport ingenuity, and the enduring thrill of the Race to the Clouds.
