He will mesmerise fans with the MADMAC McLaren P1 GTR-X, hailed as the world’s wildest drift hypercar. This bespoke McLaren, powered by a MadLab-built 1,000-horsepower 20B rotary turbo engine, promises dramatic flames and a soundtrack that reverberates around the venue. Set for 5–11 pm at the 22-acre Monterey Fairgrounds, three miles from Cannery Row, the Festival blends car culture with live music to refresh Monterey Car Week. Enthusiasts will explore curated displays featuring hypercars, supercars, American muscle cars, race machinery, Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) icons, European classics, and cutting-edge electric vehicles (EVs). At the same time, two stages host dynamic bands and a soon-to-be-revealed legendary DJ. By fusing automotive spectacle with vibrant entertainment, Monterey Motorsports Festival 2025 promises an unforgettable evening where Mad Mike Whiddett and his McLaren P1 GTR-X take centre stage.
