Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Debuts at Monterey Car Week 2025

At Monterey Car Week 2025, Alfa Romeo unveiled the North American debut of the 33 Stradale, an exclusive Italian icon reborn for a new era. Craftspeople built it with uncompromising precision, and the car captivated enthusiasts across four of the week’s most prestigious venues, showcasing Alfa Romeo’s passion for design, performance and pure Italian artistry.

Inspired by the original 1967 Tipo 33 Stradale, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cars ever made, the contemporary 33 blends heritage with cutting-edge innovation. A twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 produces 630 horsepower, delivering breathtaking performance to match the sculpted design, with 0 to 62 mph in under three seconds and a top speed of 207 mph.

Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera in Italy builds each example entirely by hand as a bespoke commission tailored to the client’s specification, with design input from Alfa Romeo’s Centro Stile and engineering expertise derived from Formula One. The 33 Stradale features a carbon fibre monocoque, active suspension and dihedral doors, together with a minimalist, analogue-inspired cockpit that honours the purity of driving. Production is limited to 33 units worldwide, and every car is already allocated, making this Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale a technical tour de force and one of the most exclusive collector cars of the modern era.

Motorlux on Wednesday, 13 August, set the stage with a celebration of luxury, innovation and aviation. Alfa Romeo displayed the 33 Stradale alongside the Giulia, Stelvio and Tonale, headlining a curated expo of exotic cars and vintage aircraft at the Monterey JetCenter. Guests experienced a blend of elegance, high performance and aeronautical inspiration that defines the 33 Stradale’s unique character.

On Thursday, 14 August, Alfa Romeo hosted an exclusive evening at the Hagerty House on the picturesque Pebble Beach coast, where guests enjoyed an up-close encounter with the 33 Stradale in a relaxed, sophisticated setting. The gathering concluded with a fireside chat featuring Cristiano Fiorio, Alfa Romeo global head of marketing and special projects, and Glynn Bloomquist, a US customer of the 33 Stradale. The panel offered insights into the rebirth of the 33 Stradale and its specialised customisation and artisanal craftsmanship, explaining how each owner collaborates directly with Alfa Romeo’s design team to shape every detail of the car, from materials to finishes, through a process inspired by Renaissance workshops and 1960s Italian coachbuilding, resulting in a singular supercar built to the highest standards of Italian excellence.

On Friday, 15 August, at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, Alfa Romeo presented the 33 Stradale among rare and celebrated automobiles at the Quail Lodge & Golf Club in Carmel Valley. Collectors, enthusiasts and industry leaders admired its sculpted form and distinctive character, recognising a contemporary icon amid automotive legends.

On Saturday, 16 August, Alfa Romeo put its motorsport DNA centre stage at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca by featuring the 33 Stradale next to the Giulia, Stelvio and Tonale. With vintage and modern race cars roaring in the background, the 33 Stradale wowed fans in the paddock and reaffirmed Alfa Romeo’s illustrious racing history across Formula One, IndyCar, Can-Am and the German Touring Car Championship (DTM).
